This place has the best desserts that I’ve had in a long, long time! Great options too (vegan, gluten-free and they’re all super yummy!). The staff here are always really friendly & such a joy to be around. Definite “must try” if you’re in the area.
The owners are simply incredible. They really have a passion for good coffee but they're also just so naturally friendly. You'll get a delicious cup here, brewed just how you like it. I got to choose the beans for my pour over by smelling samples.. I have never experienced that before. They have a great selection of bags from local roasters too. Andy even gave me a list of recommendations for more coffee spots to visit on my trip. You'll be well looked after here.
My family and I had a walk at Lonsdale Quay on the August long weekend. We don’t usually come here, so we decided to have a coffee at C41 in the Lonsdale Quay Market. It’s a very hot weather, so we ordered an iced dirty matcha. The owner who was also the barista asked if we knew what the dirty matcha was. We said yes. It was coffee + matcha powder from Japan. Once he prepared all the ingredients, he asked us to look at the coffee matcha in a cup. He poured it into a cup of cold milk. We grabbed the beverage and tried it right away. It was GREAT!! It tasted fruity coffee matcha flavour. He worried some people would taste the bitterness, so he asked if we would like to add syrup or sugar. We did not need to add any sweetness to ruin the original delicious flavour. The original flavour was the best.I would recommend people to buy coffee from this coffee shop. The owner paid attention to details and made good coffee. This was not my first time to have coffee here. I had latte and one more coffee beverage here in the past. They were all good. LOL again I would not choose Tim Hortons or Starbucks coffee IF I have a choice.
My partner and I only go to this cafe for our coffee fix and coffee bean restock - Andy and his partner are always super sweet, knowledgeable, and most importantly extremely passionate about coffee. He also loves to stock new and sometimes experimental roasts from other roasters which we love tryingSupporting local is always a huge plus as well!
This shop is so unique, offering some of the best roasters in Canada from Rosso Coffee, Phil & Seb, and Monogram. Definitely worth the visit when you're in North Van.
Finally, after a week in Vancouver and drinking ordinary coffee I found a flat white that tasted not only delicious but flavoursome. The owner was so informative and passionate about coffee and my first taste was amazing. Will definitely be back for more. You really must try it as it is so well worth it. Charging $4 for a Lipton teabag feels like a complete scam. Be aware of that so called "fruit tea".
Given the hype, we were expecting something spectacular but what we found was a rather ordinary market. As Dr. Johnson remarked - "Worth seeing, but not worth going to see". Plenty of food stalls and we had a nice lunch at the Cheshire Cheese restaurant. We travelled over on the Seabus from downtown vancouver and overall it was a worthwhile visit with great views over the city and Caol harbour. But not a patch on markets in Toronto or Montreal.
Andy is a super nice fellow, his great attitude made the coffee and treats taste extra awesome! Thanks Andy x
They serve the best coffees!
