This is unfortunate to write because I really liked this place. However, my partner and I both recently came down with bad food poisoning after eating here - likely due to poor food handling (read other reviews) or food not being kept at food safe temperature. As of writing this review we are currently in a heat wave (+33 degrees) and walking into this restaurant easily feels like it’s +40 degrees inside. The restaurant does not have air conditioning and so I wouldn’t be surprised if the food poising was due to the food not being kept at food safe temperature (I.e. veggies and dairy based sauces) sitting in the under counter fridge and spoiling. Please improve your food safe practices before you get others sick or worse; accidentally kill someone.
One the best shawarma I've had ever IMO. Reasonable price for large portion. Great taste!!

I have a joke when a friend is rude I say if I want to be treated poorly I can always go to a Donair shop. :) This place gets busy as it is a bit different. More of a Turkish style shop. While I think the beef and lamb could be a bit better quality there are onions with sumac and tabouleh and pickled turnip. Things that shops nearby almost scoff at. Probably the best in New West that I know of but you will have to wait sometimes. It's worth it compared to what is offered in either direction down the street and I have tried them all.
Always receive a pleasant service. I’ve bought here many times. The staff and owner are all super nice. Sometimes it’s really busy but it’s worth the wait! They are busy for a reason - Caus the food is that good. Delicious and fresh ingredients as well as their falafels! I think their falafels are the best I have tried because they are fresh like restaurant quality and as someone who grew up in the city of New West, this is the best spot for donairs and shawarma platters ??
Delicious food and courteous service. It can get busy especially during the evenings. Had to wait more than 20 minutes for my order - but the person manning the point-of-sale threw in extra free drinks with my order. And that is how you get repeat customers! Will be definitely going back to this place.
First time trying out the food from Zaaki. Ordered chicken shawarma platter (reg) and Kunafeh for take out. Service was prompt and the place is busy. Food was delicious and tasty, the dessert is a must try! Definitely going back.
Best, best, best falafel EVER. Lentil soup is amazing and also vegan. They make their own hummus, sauces, etc... Great dudes, great food and service. I am only angry they won't give me their secret recipes lol, No soup for you! Thanks, friends.
Ordered several donairs in various flavours. When I arrived I was told they had no beef or lamb, but were still making the chicken ones. I says fine whatever, make them all chicken, crew is hungry. Nothing tasted very good, not a single order was correct re: toppings, even beyond the chicken thing. One guy ordered a donair and got a platter. Lentil soup was inedible.
My go to is the falafel platter with tabouleh. They make the falafels fresh to order and they are delicious!! Prepare to wait a little for your food as they are very busy and there is often a line.
