Don't buy the Ramen, it's just instant noodles with chicken soup. It's overpriced and tastes like instant chicken noodle soup. The sashimi is overpriced for what they give you. There are better places that give you better quality, more sashimi, for less. It's okay if you buy rolls but stay away from the Ramen and sashimi.
Beautiful sushi and very friendly
Do not come if you value Japanese food. This is westernized Japanese food. Tempura batter was very thick, the agedashi tofu had the wrong tofu (firm instead of silky), and the fish in our hand cone had not completely defrosted. The chopped scallop nigiri, while a good size, was overloaded with thick mayo. The aburi roll was palatable but also full of mayo, it's basically a California roll topped with some negitoro then scorched mayo.Service was great though, and it seems that lots of people love this place. Just not the best place for authentic Japanese sushi lovers.
Firstly, I was greated promptly at the door, asked where I wanted to sit and given a large menu. This wasn't all the regular fare that I'm used to so I decided ( except for the Sunomon salad ) to try items that I haven't seen before or even tried. The verdic : Wow ! ?Everything was exquisite. I loved the presentation it was a delight to see effort in this department ( sadly lacking in most places ).The service was great ,place was clean & neat and has free parking( 2 hrs ) at the rear.I'm putting up photos, they will explain.A terrific sushi restaurant. I'm definitely coming back and highly recommend.
Love the Alaska Roll. Anytime we're craving sushi, this is our go-to. We happily drive 30 minutes to get our sushi fix from Sushi Heaven. With lots of special rolls and now aburi sushi, as well as lots of Bento boxes, there's lots to choose from!
One of the most mean customer services have dealt with. My gosh! Have been supporting this restaurant for over 4 years since it's in my community but most of the female staff ain't welcoming. Today, I wanted to get a lil bit of hot sauce for my food after paying for my order. A staff called jean looked me right in my eyes, smiled and said no. She insisted on charging me .50 cents on debit. I tried to explain to her it's costing me $2.50 for a .50 debit charge and that i needed sauce for my double order anyways She said no! I couldn't understand, it wasn't even about the money but how farshe was willing to argue over .50 cents. This is just one of many unwelcoming encounters, i can go on and on. In the past have ignored a lot all in the name of supporting small businesses. Unfortunately, i can no longer continue with such, the restaurant staff don't care about customer service.I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great customer service..cause you my friend, will be disappointed.
both food and service were great. ordered a nigiri combo, red roll, spicy tuna roll, bc roll, and yam & prawn tempura. they close a bit early (around 8pm) so keep that in mind if you're heading there for dinner.
Unreal sushi and the gentlest and kindest and nicest servers. Highly highly recommend.Stoked on their COVID vaccine passport screenings - some places in new west are catching flack for it so I just wanted to express my gratitude.
This is my third choice for sushi in Sapperton. Lots of awkward moments around mid afternoon when the entire staff just sits down and eats. People who think this is good sushi should really give they’re head a shake. Besides the entertainment garnered from them kicking customers away for their break time they have pretty good hours, I only come here when the other two places are too packed or closed. One star for hours. And another star for their fun selections of rolls. They’re imaginative and colourful rolls are actually very nice and also hides the fact they actually aren’t that good at the basic ones. Of course one the true test of a proper sushi chef is the tomago which they fail at horribly.
This is not a traditional Japanese restaurant at all, their food are for western taste, many sushi has cheese inside, it is abnormal. I ordered a seafood ramen, they gave me a bowl of instant noodles. When I left, I only paid 5% tips, they were unhappy. I was unhappy too, I didn't expect to pay a restaurant just for a instant noodle. Bad experience.
