It's a great looking pub inside, and I've never had a problem with service. All the staff have always been friendly and courteous to me.But they really need to do something to encourage a social mingling atmosphere, and attract a crowd you'd want to be social with.Currently it's a restaurant with a small bar in the middle. Every group sits at a table in their own bubble and don't want to interact with anyone they didn't come with. The small bar in the middle only seems to attract career drinkers and stool squatters. They sure aren't attracting interesting people you're glad you sat next to and struck up a conversation with.

An absolute gem of a bar located in Sapperton. The district lager beer is one of the best beers I've had in the City. The happy hour offers are to die for. And the staff that grace this establishment are very courteous and outgoing. The bartender Jack was knowledgeable on his mixology while my server Gabby was energetic and bubbly all through. Will extremely recommend to those seeking to quench their thirst and have a decent time. The patrons weren't to bad either.

What happened to all the awesome and enthusiastic staff? Shame as this used to be a great local pub, used to go here weekly. In the last couple months the service and food quality has gone way downhill. Now brunch is gone too.

I’ve be here a total of 3 times since last year. Never had a good experience with the service. Mediocre at best. The best service we had was tonight and that says a lot since our server forgot my friend’s order of wings and barely tried to explain herself afterwards. I feel for these servers since it’s a clear reflection of their management who clearly do not care about customer service. This was strike 3 and will never be returning here, I’m shocked I let myself come back after the first time.

Sub-par. Although happy hour drink prices are great, the food is not despite being priced to match inflation. I was very disappointed to be charged extra for requesting mustard on my burger (which had already been upgraded from their basic). Fries also do not come with ketchup. If you’re paying almost $20 for a mediocre meal, it’s ridiculous to be charged the same price as a full bottle of the condiment to get a small squeeze for on top on your dinner.

Food was pretty meh,Service was very slow. I don't think there were any actual waitstaff (do they have an employee turn around problem?)Drinks were overpriced

The renovations they did in there are fantastic. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Been there twice now in the last 3 weeks. Once for dinner and Brunch to try out their new brunch menu. The dinner was fine except for the mouse that was running around.Brunch was not good at all. The people at my table who ordered anything with hollandaise sauce said it tasted like chalk. The sauce, is NOT gluten free means that they use flour to thicken the sauce. When hollandaise sauce is made properly it does not require flour and should be gluten free. The inside of my under cooked Greek omelette was closer to hollandaise sauce than what my friends got.I would definitely give this place some time to sort out their food and the way they run the restaurant.

A huge upgrade from the previous Fireside pub that was in this location! The drinks are good, they had amazing seasonal cocktails at Christmas, and the beer is a good variety. Where there could definitely be some improvement is the staff aren't always super friendly or helpful, and the quality of the food could definitely be improved.

I met up with a friend at the Taphouse. It has been a while since I was there last and it's gone through a name change. I was pleasantly surprised at the changes and I think the menu is a definite upgrade but it has been a long time since I was there. We managed to get in at happy hour so the appetizers were half price. Quite enjoyed the calamari and was surprised how the chicken lettuce wrap was presented. It was Asian based and pleasantly spicy. All in all enjoyed the visit and catching up with my buddy. The pricing was acceptable for pubs or Tap Houses and I think they have hit the mark with this Pub. The server was great and the food was great.

The first brunch was good but now a new cook. The eggs were cold very small amount of hollandaise, the bacon was cremated taste burnt couldn't eat it and the potatoes were heavily laden unhealthy amount with grease. Would never order Benedict again. It's a shame but there was no pride in what I was served. Great lady bartender though!
