Tres Leches cake is the best. Also tried the croissant and the Mexican bun, these were good too. Lots of fresh bread and Mexican food. Would go back for tres leches definitely.
I got chicken burrito and horchata beverage. Really good food. Thank you team! Will visit again for sure
Tried a Tres Leches Cake slice and it was good until it got to sweet for me. I keep coming back for the cinnamon buns without the icing. I’m glad they offer with and without icing options.
I love this bakery!!Muffins are my kid's favorite. And me too.Cinnamon rolls are big size.Pizza dough is useful for home made pizza with my kid .Meals are good too!!
Wow fantastic food here. Love the enchiladas plate. Great lunch!
Best Mexican Bread in BC The Conchas are the best!
The customer service alone deserves 5 stars, very friendly staff and they had a full cake ready without needing to pre order. Got the tres leches cake for a bday and everyone loved it! Also got a concha to eat on my drive home and it was one of the best I’ve had here in van. Can’t wait to go back and try more pastries :)
Located inside the bustling River Market at Westminster Quay, Pamola Bakery & Deli proved to be an unexpected surprise. We made an unscheduled stop here following sojourns along the Westminster Esplanade and Pier Park. After walking a few kilometers on an unusually clear November day, we were in need of some quick sustenance and Pamola fit the bill. Open since 2012, this family-run bakery is touted as the “best bakery in New West” and features a delectable assortment of desserts and breads; however, unlike most bakeries, this one also specializes in authentic Mexican fare like tacos, tortas and burritos. Sound like an odd combo? I thought so, too, until I realized this establishment is run by the Fernandez family, originally from Mexico City. In this regard, the inclusion of Mexican cuisine makes perfect sense . . . and it also explains why many of the previous TripAdvisor reports give high props to the Mexican offerings. That said, we kept our order fairly light at just 2 croissants and a beverage. While our order was small, I do have to give high marks to the croissants. They were light and flaky, as a good croissant should be. My croissant, which was stuffed with ham and cheese, hit all the right notes and satisfied to a high level. Indeed, it’s no wonder the Georgia Straight – surprisingly – gives Pamola a good word! Besides the good food, what also surprised me was the relatively decent number of reviews on TripAdvisor (27, excluding mine). Typically these small food court establishments are lucky if they have 5 reviews, so I’d argue that speaks to the quality of Pamola as well. Bravo! FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: If you happen to be exploring the Westminster Quay, I’d recommend stopping by Pamola Bakery for a quick bite. The staff are friendly and the baked goods quite delish! Our croissants hinted at the quality this bakery produces and makes us curious to try other things.
