Cheap specials, good drinks and a fun atmosphere. Bartenders were friendly also. Highly recommend coming here.
me and my husband love coming to Begbies, we go on date nights and just when we want to go get a quick drink. friendly staff, great location, amazing patio! not to mention the food is amazing!

The best place for some yummy, chilly cocktails????that are well prepared and the list is ever changing so you never know what you will get.Burgers are to die for and the Tacos and Tortilla soup are heavenly. Amazing pub! Hands down best pub in New west. This is the place to be if you want to have a good time and you’re in the area. It’s a small tavern in down town new west with a homely vibe. We have been coming here for years and I haven’t made a review but we have had many great nights that it’s about time. Siobhan is an amazing waitress, very bubbly and gets you what you need and always checks up on you. One of the nights we were at Begbies, she left because her shift was over and Liz took over for her. The transition was fluid, there was no confusion as to who was taking care of us and Liz was just as helpful as Siobhan. Could not recommend a better place to be and the. Owner Paul has an amazing team and is an amazing guy.
We walked in at lunch and our server Paul warned us that they just had a big crowd order ahead of us. We thanked him for the warning but decided to stay. He offered us a complimentary drink for out patience. The honest communication alone gets a 5 star rating but the food was great too! Worth the wait! We’ll done Begbie’s!
Burger was awesome! Beer was cold.Service was excellent and Nick the server from the Dufferin, is working here. Def a queer friendly joint.
Great service and cold drinks, food was great and the atmosphere was safe and relaxed. The bar itself was small is size which made for a loud experience on a late Saturday night, but that's expected on a Saturday!
Place smelled like oven cleaner the whole time. A major turn off for food! Ordered drinks but never offered us food or a menu. Server was too busy chatting with guys at the bar to tend to our table and offer us food or drinks. First time here, last time here.
