Legit Japanese restaurant owned and operated by a Japanese family. Sushi was fresh and authentic. Menu was simple, and did not have any of the nonsense rolls you find at some of the other sushi restaurants.Parking: Outside. Free. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

We have been coming here for a sushi night out for years. There are various favourites on the menu and we have never had a complaint. The staff is very friendly and there's lots of parking out front.Heads-up... It is a smaller venue so call ahead just in case they are experiencing a rush.

Very clean dining area and the servers were very friendly. The California roll and the maki with yellow tail & green onion were good for both taste and value. The ika sashimi was good. Although pricey for the amount you get, it’s not too bad compared to the market price. Only disappointment was the quantity of the salmon & tuna sashimi. $15 for 6 thinly sliced non-premium sashimi doesn’t seem to be very reasonable…

Somehow....there was too strong fishy smell. I think- I am not an expert, but I really trust you need to change your cutting board and some of tools you use to roll. Your dishes are not smelled fresh at all like other Japanese owned place. Even Fujiya, market sushi...does not have this fishy smell. Rice smells too. It could be better, but for now, I won't try again.

Very delicious and fresh sushi! You can definitely taste the quality. The servers are very friendly. Overall great experience.A very small place, recommend to book a reservation! I would definitely keep coming back.

Very exceptional lady!! She was welcoming wholeheartedly and served us very nice. Got the party tray A and they were made very nicely. I could tell from the sushis that they were exceptionallh made by the japanese owner. Held the sushi with chopstick didnt break down and dipped the sushi into soy sauce and if you go to sushi garden, the sushi would probably break when you held and dipped into soy sauce, but these were well made. Thank you chef for the wonderful sushi and the service. Cheers! Very recommended!

It is a while since my last visit , it is my truly flavour sushi place , for the quality and service , it is run by Japanese husband and wife team , 100% authentic , not a fancy place , but very cozy airy and friendly they been around for well over6/7 years or more ! it is one of my niece's birthday , she finished at work at the hospital around 5 pm , great idea have a early birthday dinner and avoid the crazy rush hour rush ! menu have a lot choose from , not expensive at all , I order the " Boat " , Omgi , the variety of sashimi so fresh you can taste the ocean , nicely cut portion , remind me my first girl friend's restaurant in OSAKA ! also the Chicken Karage very crispy not oily at all ! over all , top quality with moderate price , friendly lady owner , I miss this place , so if you looking for a truly authentic sushi place , try the Ikoi Sushi restaurant , special a long day working in the hospital , I truly recommended it ! we both had a great dinner and time together ! I will be back more for sure .

Favorite Sushi Spot!!! Probably one of the only Sushi spots in vancouver that reminds me of restaurants from my time in Japan. Chef just gets it all right all the subtle differences! They’re service is over the top Japanese style disciplined.

We had a fantastic meal at Ikoi! It was the best salmon sashimi that I have ever had. The staff are very friendly, and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless, and has a nice atmosphere. The food was fresh, and delicious. They even had gluten free soy sauce! Looking forward to my next meal at Ikoi!

My foodie boys are always happy to be at Ikoi sushi. A nice Japanese family owned authentic sushi restaurant. If you want to eat good sushi in this neighbourhood, this is the place to go.
