Updated review: what happened to your sushi?! It used to be stuffed with avocados and barely any cucumber. The picture of California roll and the roll with salmon meat on top are taken on my first order. LOOK AT HOW CHEAP IT IS NOW! There is so much cucumber in the sushi, there is barely any imitation crab and avocado. They used to stuff the crab to the brim now they stuff cucumbers to the brim! And the crab tasted disgusting! It tasted unfresh and it had a weird smelly flavour. They added a lot of salt to keep the food from rotting. Thank you for the past year of good food. Good portions. This is now my sushi place to order again and again.
Literally the worst sushi we have ever had. I would rather have got it from the gas station. Couldnt finish it and we are watching for signs and symptoms of food poisioning. Seriously. We ended up spitting most of it out. Please go somewhere else until they get their act together. Even the ginger tasted weird. The photo is a dynamite roll. The salmon was mushy, thr avocado was disgustingly old.
Ordered a few dishes to share with my boyfriend and got some great recommendations from our server. The staff never once made me feel rushed (we came in an hour before close so I made sure we left in a timely manner anyways). First time trying hot sake and it was great! Also had the assorted sushi combo, pumpkin croquettes, gomae rolls, and I can't remember the names of the others. The food was absolutely delicious! Wish we had a place this good back home.

I have ordered from Hyack Sushi many times in the past but I’m so disappointed this time. I ordered 2 special rolls and they’re so small (even smaller than other places’ regular rolls) yet noticably more expensive. They’re definitely not worth it given the taste and portion size. The serving time is very long (20 minutes plus for my order). I will not return to this place ever again. Not recommended.
This place deserves higher rating than what it is right now. Wonderful place, food tastes really good and fresh ingredients as well. Will definitely try it out again for dine in next time.
Unreal food! Great service and a cool ordering system.. very fairly priced
We have been loyal customers to this place from the day they opened. Unfortunately the quality and service has went downhill as of recent. They became very popular and now don't seem to care about customers. They don't follow instructions on orders, give chop sticks or soya sauce with the take out orders. Their app is ok and you can get points for free stuff, but I would much rather have the customer service. We are going to start looking for a different place.
I have to say the food was very good.I went with a few friends of mine, and we ordered a fair bit of food. The food was presented attractively and tasted good.The restaurant was not busy, we were a group of four, and we were there for a couple of hours and during that time there was only three other tables that came in. It wasn't busy. What made it disappointing was the quality of service. We had to ask for side plates, we had to ask for napkins, we had to ask for Chopsticks, we had to ask for water, we had to ask for our empty dishes to be removed when they brought more food for us. Our server who was a young man and pleasant enough, did not have a clue at all about how to attend a table. On many occasions I actually had to get up to get his attention,(to make request from the above list), as he never came over to check on us.His back was constantly turned while he and other floor staff interacted.At the end of our meal, I asked if he could call a taxi for us. To my surprise... and why should I be surprised at this point? He said he couldn't do that.I wouldn't choose to go back there because of such poor service.
