Excellent authentic Cantonese dishes at affordable prices. Not the fanciest place, but high quality food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Look I'm vegan and told them 5x. I wasn't going to order anything and then she said she could make sauteed Bok Choy. When I got the bill it said it had chicken Power in it. Anyways don't go here if you are vegan, restaurant experience was just okay. My stomach hurt quickly after I ate. Oh well. For future reference they should think about adding a few things if you have someone vegan dining with non vegan friends. ?
Reasonable price, friendly service, tasty foods. If you would like some eastern food, this is the place to eat.
Dine-in or Take-out Hon's is always busy. So much variety. I always go for the Chow Mein and Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (no tendon sad). Our other top picks.. Salted Fish Fried Rice, BBQ Duck, Triple Mushroom, Pork Pot Stickers.
Great staff and service. Order didn't take long. Food was good, not the best Chinese place out there, but not bad either. It doesn't break your bank. Would recommend the hot and sour chicken soup.
This location has incredibly delicious food! Used to be the ONLY place my family would get Chinese! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to go in years since I moved. The Olympic village Hons is definitely nowhere near as good (at least not when I ordered take out from there). I miss New West Hons so much!
Out of all the Chinese restaurants within New Westminster , I must say this is where I always go. Since I got here three years ago, this is stillny fave Chinese restaurant place. Food serving is fair for sharing, service is quick, also they are happy servers that has been working for the company for a long time! Food is real good! Okay what else? Hmmm maybe additional dessert option and that’s it!
Good Food. Great Portion Sizes. The food tastes like it’s homemade which is a good thing but also it doesn’t give you that “restaurant taste”.I found the beef fried rice to be really nice, the sources were well balanced and was more than enough for two adults. The Beef brisket was beautiful, the meat was falling off the bones and cooked beautifully, the broth tasted amazing and (so did the potatoes) once again, it tasted exactly like something my family would make at home and didn’t really “elevate” my senses. The soup, it’s chicken and egg, has tofu, noodles and cabbage. I forget the exact name. It needed a little bit of salt/ soy sauce to give it that hint of magic, it was pretttyyyyy good! The snap serving is actually super big lol, so that was great!Overall kinda fatty/ oily for my liking, but also a must try. There are more items I’d like to try so I’m definitely going back. The SOUP was my favourite.
Not the best Chinese and not the worst. Hons is middle of the road Chinese food. This is great comfort food. They have some dishes that are great and some that are not. You must get the pot stickers and hot and sour soup. The downside is the prices are getting higher
PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT. Not a picky eater and not the kind of person to write reviews but this place does need a honest one.I have recently picked up beef and broccoli and prawns and chicken in black peppers sauce and it tasted like expired meat and old defrosted shrimp !! Not talking about the quality of the veggies :S40$ wasted in the garbage tonight! I am so disappointed as I have been wanting to try this restaurant from so long.HON’S you simply let me down tonight :(
