The pearls were hard and there were way too many. The milk of my tea carried the entire drink and I know that they didn’t milk cows for that milk. The waffles were soggy and doused in what tasted like Nesquik chocolate sauce. The ice cream looked like it had an infection and the “Oreos” weren’t even Oreos, they were off-brand. The workers were sweet at least.
They took our orders, made the drinks, and then told us that they didn't have bubbles. When I asked for a refund, they refused to do it on account of having made the drinks already.The quality of the triple mango bbt was also significantly less than what I got back in October. I don't know why this place is going bad.
Polite and friendly staff and delicious tea whether you want it hot or cold. The hong Kong style milk tea 1/2 sweet is my favorite!
A dope alternative option to compliment some popcorn at the movies!I got the Pandan Coconut Soy Milk Tea with Coconut Jelly after seeing the huge hype from other Google Reviews. It was pretty yummy, but even with 0% sugar it was still really sweet tasting. Therefore, it was a bit of an anticlimax for me but worth trying. Maybe next time id try it with something a bit more earthy like red Bean toppings etc.I do love how this joint has plenty of vegan alternative options including milk, ice cream and snacks and was one of the main reasons for my visit here specifically.Staff and service were okay, but not a huge deal when your on the go anyway.Support local businesses!
First of all, I really appreciate how they have healthy milk alternatives. A lot of BBT places do not have these, and as a person who cannot have milk for health reasons, I love that they have almond/soy/oat milk. Also, I really appreciate how they stay true to less vs. more sweet unlike other BBT places that give extremely sweet drinks even though you ordered a tea with 25% or 50% sugar/sweet option.However, I'm giving 3 stars because the pearls are not sweetened at all. I don't expect super sugary pearls, but at least these pearls should have some flavour. They are tasteless that it feels like I'm chewing rubber. All they have to do is to soak these pearls in melted sugar for some time before serving them, but every time I get bubble tea from here, the pearls are so so bland. If this issue is fixed, I would almost always choose this location over others.
I love the pandan milk tea the best here. They're a good store with nice staff. The sweets (e.g. macaroons, dacquoise) are also very cute and worth a taste. I know they serve waffles too, but I haven't had them enough to say much about it. They also sell their own bubble tea reusable cup, which is a plus. It's at the skytrain station so it's a convenient location, but it also means a very small interior with little seating. It also closes earlier than other bubble tea shops since they're smaller.
I like that it's all fresh brewed tea even though it takes longer
