Came by the area for nostalgic reasons and decided to try it out after reading the positive reviews. The House Special was delicious, as was the Iced Vietnamese Coffee. The service was also friendly and warm. Definitely recommend it!
Excellent Sandwich! I had the House Special. Very tasty and fresh. If I am in New West around lunch time, that's the spot for me.
I love the pork patty. The bread its self is not my favourite but 5 stars for excellent customer service.
Probably been a good six years or so since I first tried Banh Mi Bar in New West. Their menu seems a bit limited compared to what it used to be but they still have some good offerings like their House Special.
So, so good - big portion, fresh bread, great pickled veg. I’ve tried both the meat and vegan options and both have satisfied. Great prices, very much a little hole in the wall kind of vibe inside. Get there early as they tend to sell out of a lot by the afternoon! Vietnamese iced coffee is great too. On my way to becoming a regular here!
Delicious and convenient Bahn mi. They can get pretty busy so get in early, or call ahead for pick up!They offer a few different vegetarian options. My favorite is the veggie BBQ pork. The veggie lemongrass chicken is also quite good.
First visit to this hole in a wall shop. Ive tried every banh mi/vietnamese restaurant in new west as ive been working in this city for 16 plus years.Tried lemon grass chicken, pork, their pork and vege vermicelli box meal as well. HONESTLY their taste is unique to rest of 7 other vietnamese eateries in New West. Reason why i didnt give a 5 stars is because the meat proportion is a "tad" less than other places BUT the price is absolutely spot-on. Price is great, service is amazing and the owner is a very friendly.Their ice vietnamese coffee is very strong! Its a good thing.
Um, yum!!!! I see the cravings beginning now. Incredible rolls. I'm envious of anyone who has daily access to this place.
I’ve had many banh mi sandwiches before but this place is pretty good! I agree with the rest of the reviews saying their buns are fresh and flavours are well balanced. The mango pudding was delightfully delicious as well. Only complaint would be the ambiance. They had a really loud crackly speaker on with radio that made hearing the staff and ordering a bit difficult.
They were very nice and made sure everything was perfect :) banh mi was very tasty. I also got the Vietnamese coffee and mango pudding which were really yummy too. Perfect place for a quick meal and for a great value
