We’ve spend a few hours here planning our trip on the island. We’ve had several coffees, a matcha latte and a green tea and all of them tasted really good! My husband even bought some coffee there to use when camping. The place looks nice, washrooms are clean and the staff is really friendly!
I ordered a Flat White & Telus happened to be providing a free drink to anyone who wanted to redeem the offer for the day. The workers were very kind & hard working. The Flat White taste & presentation was incredible & the price was right
A coffee shop located inside an old train station. Very welcoming space, with baked goods and seasonal features. We tried their cortado and lavender taro dream milk (a seasonal feature). They are both very yummy.
Nice little coffee shop, clean and decent amount of seating inside and outside. They even have wild rabbits in the backyard that visit. Coffee was decent but not anything to brag about.
High quality coffee and delicious pastries! One of the best cafes on the Island hands down.

One of my all-time favourite places in Nanaimo. Such a great place to hang out by yourself and get some work or reading done, or bring a pal to visit! My favourite drinks are the iced matcha and iced mocha, and I go absolutely crazy for the apple cinnamon muffins. The staff are all so sweet, they make you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Whether I’m running in quick for a container of hummus or sitting down to have some down time, I’m always happy to stop by White Rabbit. (Photos are from over the years) ?
This is a really lovely cafe. My friends and I hugely appreciate all the gluten free vegan options. Everything is always extremely delicious and thoughtfully made. Happy to have White Rabbit in the neighbourhood :)
If you're a fan of Discovery Coffee (from Victoria) and Scandinavian minimalist interiors, then this could be your spot. But it's definitely not mine. Discovery's espresso is a much lighter roast than what I enjoy, and the decor in this place makes me think of an IKEA catalogue. There's zero warmth to the place. Even the artwork on the walls (and I commend the owners for their support of local artists) was bland. Better options exist.
The smoothest matcha I’ve had on the island so far — this cup was a work of art!! Reasonably priced too, especially if using the 15% VIU student discount. There are vegan + GF pastries but they sell out fairly quickly throughout the day, so I’d recommend going earlier if you want to try some.
