Fun fish and chips shop by the waterfront. The salmon was good but the battery could have more flavour. Very good fries. Also batter let down the calamari too.

We stumbled across Troller’s on our way through Nanaimo and decided to stop for lunch. It was one of the best decisions we made. The halibut and fresh clam chowder (despite the hot weather) was absolutely delicious. The food was second only to our view - we sat in the back corner of the quaint eatery, our backs to the water right behind us. Glancing down, we watched little fish dart around. Our backdrop - the harbour and distant mountains. The service was incredible, and although it was busy, we were always attended to by our bubbly server who always had a smile on his face. This was truly a great experience and I highly recommend Troller’s for a must-see Nanaimo spot.

we got 2 small clam chowders and order of crab cakes and a pop. it cost us 38.08. total rip off. My mom makes better clam chowder and so does Campbell's soup. I've never had it with a film of grease on top. President choice makes better crab cakes. The girl taking our order was useless. We had asked how much the grilled prawns were and she said I don't know. Seems to me if you work there you should at least know your menu and prices. She was not very friendly. We didn't have the fish and chips so I can't say how that was. Probably just as greasy as the clam chowder soup. Save your money and go someplace else.

Don't get me wrong the food is tasty here but... I had the 2 pieces of halibut and chips for $35 + tax there was an excessive amount of batter on the fish, literally just globs of it on the ends and very small portions of fish for the price. The taste is quite good with nice fresh moist fish, but very thin pieces, and the batter is light and crisp. By all means if you don't mind the price go here but there's many fish and chip shops to choose from here and this has been by far the most expensive along with some of the smaller portions I've seen. Would have been a 4 star review if not for the steep prices, and would have been a 5 star review if there wasn't so much extra batter + the price.

Food is always delicious and fresh

The pieces of fish are huge, and extremely tasty! Even better to be eating at the harbor.

The place to visit for fresh fish & chips. Great tasting, quality food. Highly recommended!

We ordered 1 salmon and 2 haddock for $90. With $90 dollars you could buy a month's worth of groceries. We waited around 2 hours, like what hell, it doesn't take that long to cook fish. When we finally got our fish, it tasted like a normal fish and chips, nothing special at all. In fact, the next day, we went to a different fish and chips, they were also really busy, but we got our fish in 5 minutes. Horrible scam, I do not recommend.

Great fish and chips and even better crab cakes! Sauces are also great. Line up and waiting times can be long though. We went twice and waited 30minutes for our takeout, but well worth the wait.

Really good food. First Fish and Chips that I have tried that is not greasy. Very yummy. I will come back for sure!
