The best service and prices for beer and food! Went for the happy hour and had, poutine, nachos and calamari and it was all delicious for a great price!
The servers here rock! The food & beverages are very good for what you pay! When we are in Nanaimo this is the place that makes us feel at home, especially when the bartender recognizes you 2 months after our last visit! Thank you to “The Well” for being welcoming and consistent- we will be back!!
The beer was cold, the service was good, I had a clubhouse sandwich that was very good. Although it was busy for lunch on a Wednesday, there was still lots of seating available.
We stayed overnight after a long journey in the traffic, ready for the ferry in the morning. We needed a quick meal so I could attend a zoom meeting soon after we finally arrived and they served us in record time. Welcoming, friendly and by the sea ?
Worst service I've have had in years. Waitress unfriendly and Abrupt. Ordered steak sandwich medium well with prawns. Steak well done and no prawns. Visited here a few times before. Food was great and service was friendly and efficient. So very much disappointed this time. Place was not as clean as it could have been. It will take a long time before I ever return here. The place was considerably busy . Still no excuse for such unsatisfactory service.
Visited during the pandemic when we were having our vaccination cards checked. Although staff staff checked ours we noticed they did not check many others, when asked they replied that they were "regulars" which did not install much confidence. Typical bar food was good, the place is a bit run down, like a beer parlour from the 1970's.
Went there for Mother's Day the waitress seemed to be completely disinterested, DON'T order the seafood linguine, truly disgusting (Lantzville Pub it's awesome). It wasn't very busy and we waited an hour for our meal. I guess the men's bathroom was so gross we ended leaving early just so the guys didn't have to use it.

Few of the waitresses are amazing. They remember what you like.Ploy I love her, every time I'm in she gives me a menu. Still knows exactly what I want,and how I want my steak ?
Fantastic Friday night at the Well. 1/2 price Appies, service was great and happy atmosphere all around. Karaoke Friday was an added bonus, bit don't trust your group to back you up.
