We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary here. The waitress, Maggie, was courteous and attentive. The food and wine was delicious. Look forward to coming back next time we are in Nanaimo.
We went for dinner at the View for the first time, having heard wonderful reviews. We started off with the calamari appetizer...wow! Unique combination of flavours; tender and delicious. We shared a small caesar salad, which was plenty for two and was tangy, garlicy and fresh. My companion had the half rack of lamb; was done to perfection and I had the special, filet mignon with prawns. The portions were ample, we brought home leftovers! We enjoyed impeccable service by Natalie, so pleasant and professional. We will definitely be back to try other offerings!

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried. Even it’s a fine dinning but the price is very reasonable and service is also excellent. If you are visiting Nanaimo, this is a must try if you love seafood. You won’t regret!?
This is our second time at the View! The food is stellar. To die for prawns gratin and short ribs and chicken supreme was excellent. The air con was not operational so it was a ‘hot’ meal!! The seagulls sure do a number on the windows! Very good job chef and crew! We come back every year! Thanks so much. Yum. PS. Maddy was great!
We had to search to find the physical location of this restaurant, but we sure were happy to find it. We were given an elevated table with a splendid view of the harbor and sea. Our waitress was helpful and friendly, and she took pride in the restaurant. We enjoyed the halibut and ling cod. Fresh, delicious and plenty to eat. Good ambience and service. Look forward to a return to this delightful place.
We made a last minute reservation at 7 : 45 PM. We were scheduled 45 minutes later and arrived sharp on time. And guess what ? We couldn’t eat because the kitchen had decided their last call was already made. Plus, in this town, most restaurants close before 9 PM. So we ended up at Tim Hortons, great but definitely not what we were looking for.
we had a very nice dinner last time, unfortunately you can never get a reservation when you like to go out for dinner. Their suggestion was to book a week ahead for a group of six? really? Who knows a week ahead were and when they are going out for dinner?

Our first visit to the restaurant with my elderly aunt & uncle that we haven’t seen for many years so they seated us in a lovely spot where we could sit & have a great catch up & was well looked after. The food was excellent & very fresh & was top notch. It’s a must to go .
