Had a catered event with Bee's Knees. The persian style menu was delicious, beautifully presented and loved by all. The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. Thank you very much Bee's Knees! Your food made the event that much more special!
Had a delicious, grilled wrap with the tastiest pesto sauce and fresh veggies. The peanut yam stew was delightful as well and the portions more than ample - I ended up taking half the wrap to eat on my hike later, along with a savory spinach cheese scone that was wonderful the next day heated up with my breakfast.\\n\\nAll very carefully \\u0026 freshly prepared dishes with great flavors / textures, fantastic value and such a nice family too. The patio and interior are lovely as well. There seems to be plenty of nearby street parking (I'm not clear on whether it's ok to park in the lot next to it).\\n\\nI highly recommend a visit and I'll definitely come here over any of the places nearer the harbor whenever I'm transiting through Nanaimo!
Stellar cafe and awesome service. Portobello sandwich was out of this world! Amazing stuff all around!
I ordered a catered breakfast from the Bee's Knees Cafe and picked it up from the new location. Having only been to the original location before, I was excited to see what they had in store for their 3rd street spot. It went above and beyond my expectations- the ambiance was lovely, the staff were helpful and kind, and the food and drinks were high quality, as usual. It's definitely worth a visit!
I order catering/lunches for education I support around both Alberta and BC and I have to say The Bee's Knee's café is the best services I have had to date. Not only is the food phenomenal but their communication is quick, efficient and always professional , they always try to accommodate even with tight deadlines and provide clear professional invoices and billing (which if you need to expense meals at all is AMAZING, especially when ordering for virtual sessions like I do quite often). I will never use another restaurant when in Naniamo and if they had The Bee's Knees everywhere I would use it everywhere I went!\\n\\nPS The café itself is beautiful, staff friendly, and honestly 10/10 all round.
I had never been there before, but heard good things. I had our out of town family meet us for a coffee and food. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but ALL of the pastries and muffins that they had out looked overcooked/burnt, The person who served us was nice, but another woman who I suspect was the owner, was very rude when I asked a question. Also we got charged two different prices for the same coffee. Just bizarre, anyway I may give it a second chance in the future, but it’s going to take a while.
Friendly service, cozy and bright atmosphere, quality food and coffee. (Comfortable bathroom too for your after coffee times)\\nNice quiet place to visit.
We visited it on Saturday afternoon for lunch with family. There were leftovers spilled on the floor besides our table which were never picked up for the hour we were there, even when the cafe became almost empty. The drinks came in 5 mins and the food took more than half hour. The sandwiches hardly had any filling and the side was two bites of coleslaw with egg dressing even though we had informed the staff off egg allergies. When we asked the server if the dressing has eggs, she simply brought empty plates and transferred the sandwiches to those plates and took the sides back without bringing a substitute or saying anything. The sandwiches hardly had any filling and they costed over 16 dollars each. So, we were still hungry and ordered more food as we did not want to go to another place with small kids for a second lunch. Have you noticed that price menu is not on their website by design? 16-17 for 2 slices of bread sticking with a slice of cheese is a joke. And that bread was also store brought- for nice expensive restaurants, you expect some gourmet bread. I see the appeal from the hippie decor as you get in, but we essentially paid close to 100 for a lunch of 2 grown ups and 1 kid while sitting on table with messy floor besides it.
Cute and comfortable little coffee shop. There's room to spread out inside which I really appreciate as so many coffee shops are crowded and cramped. There's also outside seating which will be lovely in the summer.
Wow! What a fantastic place! Atmosphere is perfect. Service is beyond perfect. The food (I had the peanut yam soup and chocolate torte with a London Fog) is superb!! I will definitely be going back and also highly recommending Bees Knees to everyone.
