We always get xcllent service when Jesse serves us.We come to this location often and it us always a bonus if we are seated in his section.Once again, thank you to Jesse; he is a real asset to your location, and no, we are not related.
My Wife and I went here this morning for Breakfast. Our 1st and Last time here. 1st we waited for someone to seat us for 20 minutes. Asked for a booth seating, they said they had none, we got a tiny corner half booth right next to the Washrooms, so Lame.The carpet below our table was so dirty. We went to their washrooms, the Men's urinal was Out of Order , ... and the toilet was disgusting, I didn't use the washroom, walked out.We waited another 20 minutes for a Waitress. Then , we waited 1 hour to receive the food we ordered. Absolutely Unacceptable. And the food was gross, below average quality.My Wife and I will never return to this Smitty's at Rock City Centre, Nanaimo.
Nice place, staff are nice but can seem like they dread their job sometimes. Food is pretty good but overpriced.
I ordered takeout and the roast beef was old and awful! It was dry and tasteless. The fries were fine but I do not recommend spending money at this restaurant.
It is a nice and cozy place. I took my son for lunch there. He had Gooey Grilled cheese and I had Roast beef dinnerEverything was great. Service was good and the waiter was super nice.My only comment would be for a tenderness of the beef which was a bit chewy.Other than that we enjoyed our diner a lot.
Want to say great service by our waiter Jesse. We asked him how long food would be because we only had 45 minutes due to appointment. He said he would let the cook know we needed no later than 15 minutes. He kept his word and he ensured that we were taken care of so we could leave right after our meal. Jesse gets 5 stars for customer service.
Always enjoy the “Bacon Lovers” breakfast. Yes that is 8 pieces of BACON!! Good service and exactly what you would expect from a breakfast restaurant.
I'm sorry to say but they use the cheapest institution food quality, I will not eat dinner at Smittys again I guess by how busy it is tells you a lot. But I will say breakfast is good here...
Good service considering they are short staffed. The food is still great, but unfortunately portion size has noticeably decreased in the past 2 years. I understand price increases, but to see it accompanied with smaller portion sizes is disappointing
I recently placed a skip the dishes order and an item was forgotten so I called in to let them know.I spoke with a guy named Jesse, not sure if he's a manager or an employee but I just wanted to leave this review to point out that he actually had really good customer service skills and was very accommodating. It seems the customer service everywhere lately has been just horrendous. But Jesse is the man!
