I ordered the beef and tomato pizza, my kid had the lasagne, neither of us enjoyed our meal. I'm guessing they par bake their crust and then do a fast bake for the finished product. My toppings were refrigerator cold under hot cheese. My kid said her lasagne was bland and boring. It was a lot of money to fork out for something so sub par. With Pizza and Pasta in the title of the restaurant, I would expect you to be good at serving this kind of product. Most likely won't be back. The service was good and friendly so the evening wasn't a total loss. I'd rethink the par baked crusts, proper pizza can be made from raw dough, I can do better at home in under 40 minutes.
I went there for lunch today after hearing lots of good things. The lasagna was probably the best non home-made one I have ever had. Service was impeccable and more.I will definitely be returning, and again.Saving the last star for my future visits.
My Wife and I went here today for Lunch. Seats and top of baseboard heaters covered in human hair and dirt. Bathroom was nasty. Place was very hot inside, no air conditioning. We ordered 2 small Pizza's , Tropicana and Brooklyn , ... the Pizza's we received were atrocious. We picked our Pizza's up and the toppings slid right off the crust. The crust wasn't a crust , ... it was a perfectly round Cardboard biscuit, ...maybe similar to a Frozen Delissio pizza crust but only half cooked through, .... wet soggy Cardboard biscuit is what both my Wife and I thought. We immediately stopped eating and asked to talk to waitress. I asked her if you guys make your pizza crusts from scratch, hand kneaded, made to order. She said she didn't know. She said to us, So Your not a Fan . We said we are done, we will pay bill. Then the waitress asked us so What is Pizza crust / toppings supposed to look like. We told her, shook our head, paid and Left. We will never come back here, never.We drove up to Milano's and ordered 2 Pizza's, everything was Amazing.
Came for a weekend getaway to nanaimo. Found new York style pizza and it really intrigued me. We tried the big apple pizza. It was amazing. Fully loaded. Definitely a go to place for pizza lovers. Jolley was our server and she was very inviting. Our compliments go to the cooks. Way to go!
Ordered the Wall Street pizza and Nachos for a picnic by the water. Both were excellent. The pizza had a crispy pan-style crust and was loaded. The nachos were layered and baked.
I am a pasta FIEND, I live for good pasta and this is one of my absolute favourite places to get it. I love that it's right downtown, the location is great for an after-meal stroll (though parking can be a bit awkward if you don't know the area). I like the atmosphere, I find it warm and the staff are very nice to interact with. I haven't tried anything other than the pasta, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu but I found the pasta delicious! I really appreciate that there isn't a heavy use of spices or anything too crazy. Also I love the portion sizes.
Really Great Gluten-Free Pizza! They did not skip on the toppings, lovely thin crust and they got the order right. I paid extra for delivery and the extra cheese on the pizza was almost $8 more. They called ahead to let us know the machines were down before delivering and brought us a GF tiramisu free of charge for the inconvenience.
Had lunch there today. So delicious. can't wait to go back
Went to NY style 2 days ago. As soon as we walked in Jolene greated us. We ordered a medium special pizza to split which was outstanding. We also ordered a ceasar for our drinks and I have to say it was the best Ceasar we both have tasted. Being a bartender for over 35 years, we learned to compliment.Jolene as the best Caesar we have tasted in a long time. We'll definitely go back. So I not only give the pizza a 5 star...but when you go..have a Ceasar cause Jolene knows how to rock it.
Dined here last night. Manhattan Salad was amazing as usual. I had a gluten free pizza crust with my Queens pizza. So good!! Thanks to our server Jody who has worked there for over 30 years. Great service! My son had the rib dinner and said it was excellent. We will definitely be back!
