We enjoyed a quiet meal here while spending the night in the hotel. The staff from the host to the bartender to our server were all super friendly and professional! Top tier service! Food was excellent although the salad had a lot of frisée which was on the bitter side. We ordered the pasta but asked to sub salmon for the prawns and the chef willingly complied. The black pasta was super cool! The flavors were wonderful and the portion perfect! We shared so we would have room for dessert - the Nanaimo Cheesecake was oh so good and beautiful!
Breakfast this morning was fantastic. Carrie our server was such a breathe of fresh air and made our morning. Just so nice and genuine to all her tables. Outstanding service!!
Poor quality food definitely not worth the price you pay. My experience here was extremely disappointing, I would usually stay at the coast hotel while visiting family and will go to minnoz just because it was convenient, but even for the convenience the food is just not good enough.
The restaurant is located in the Coast hotel right on the harbor front. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. We both ordered the skillet but the meals are large and we could have easily shared one. The food was excellent. One of the less expensive places to eat in the downtown Nanaimo area.
We had dinner at this restaurant, it was a bit quiet in comparison with the other restaurants in the neighborhood. We had the charcuterie and pan seared salmon, this was with a good taste.For drinks we chose the cocktails but they were a bit disappointing. The barman needs a refreshment course in making the correct cocktails.
My Wife and I had a Reservation for Breakfast, Window seats on April 24th morning. I had the Charlotte Eggs Benedict and my Wife had the Traditional breakfast. Not kidding, but my Charlotte Eggs Benedict was, hands down, the best Eggs Benedict I have ever tasted/ eaten in my Life . And I'm 58 lol. My wife's breakfast was also Excellent.Absolute Hidden Gem in Nanaimo. We very highly recommend this Restaurant 100 %.
Bouillabaisse was a smaller portion than I expected for the price but did taste good. Service was good and nice view
Everything you'd expect from a nice restaurant. Waitress was very nice an attentive. Breakfast was great. Had avacado toast and we also had the classic Benedict. Good prices.
Had a girls' weekend and ate there for breakfast. My Charlotte Benny was fabulous taste, well plated, and filling! Friend got the Canadian with a substitution. Our server, Stephanie, was a gem.
Great restaurant in the Coast Bastian hotel. We ate 2 dinners and a breakfast here over a 5 night stay and we’re generally impressed. The wait staff are excellent, although it seemed they were under staffed at times. The food quality was good and the dishes are creative and well designed. Good selection of wines and craft beers. Reasonable prices. The entertainment on the weekend was excellent and the overall vibe was great!
