Roast the rude middle aged female staff member who chose to argue with a customer when she didn’t know how to find an order made. TOAST to the manager for apologizing on behalf of her employee and for taking the time to listen, hear, understand and turn a frustrated customer into a satisfied one! Toast to the young lady working for being as kind as she was and not following the poor example set by one of her colleagues. Every business can have issues or problems how they deal with them defines them. Well done ? We will be back
Stood at cashier desk waiting to pay and staff member took forever to complete our order. It was a small order, not complicated! Asked for x large tea and coffee with our meals. Specifically asked for a sausage mcmuffin meal no egg! And asked for a chicken mcmuffin meal and a small oj and a bran muffin. The Mgr had to come over as it was taking so long for our order to be inputted. Finally done and I pay. Waiting for order and notice they charged me for a egg mcmuffin meal and an additional sausage mcmuffin. So I ask the mgr for a refund. She was very rude, gave me a rude look. I tried to make it less uncomfortable when getting my refund and said I'm sorry not trying to be difficult. Her response was well you did ask for the sausage mcmuffin and I said yes but not with egg. Rude much?I then get our order we ended up with still an egg mcmuffin meal, 1 extra large tea and a small coffee after all that and then still no bran muffin. What the heck! So ridiculous and incompetent. I will never come to this mcdonalds ever again! The manager's boss needs to speak to her and explain what good customer service is and teach her how to be pleasant and polite! Shame on you! This was the mcdonalds on Rutherford in nanaimo!
Rutherford McDonald’s is an absolute disaster. Cold fries, no straw with drink going through drive-through several times. I highly recommend going somewhere else. I would’ve given zero stars but that is not an option. You can do better than this McDonald’s.☹️
There is a young man who works the take out window, who refuses to use good business manners when taking customer's money. On the first occasion when I prompted him about 'please and thank you' being part of good business, he told me that if I didn't like his rudeness I could order elsewhere. I asked to speak to the manager who agreed with me that manners are an important part of customer service. The manager completed the transaction using good business manners. On the second occasion, when I got to the take out window, the same young man first told me he just wanted to go home, then asked for the money. Again, no manners, no please. When I reminded him about saying please he said, "Not this again". Then he called his manager who once again completed the transaction using good business manner. The young man is very unprofessional, gives the business a bad name, and clearly appears not to value either his job or customers. McDonalds must be desperate for employees or otherwise this young man would be taught the good manners are an essential part of good business and customer service. I can only come to the conclusion that McDonalds does not value customers or they would deal with this rude, entitled, unprofessional young man who doesn't seem very bright. He is an embarrassment to the company. Despite my politeness he just doesn't learn.
Used drive thru - ordered McMuffin with sausage combo and McMuffin with bacon combo. No complaint about the actual food I recieved, just the service1. Employee taking the order wasn't polite or pleasant, no " good morning" or " thank you" or " please"2. Employee didn't confirm the order3. Employee didn't give order total, just said "last window" and that was it.4. Employee rolled her eyes and muttered some comment under her breath when presented with points app5. Employee shoved bag at me and turned away, I checked my order and was missing the hash browns6. Was not given my receiptShe didn't come back to the window and I didn't want to hold up the line. I also had a ferry to catch. Plus I really didn't want to deal with her again.I wasn't impressed with the person's attitude and lack of professionalism and general annoyance of serving customers. I understand that it was early and maybe she was busy and the whole world is stressed out right now.Probably the worst experience I've had at any McDonald's.
The service is slow. Any time I go through the drive thru, even with small orders, I'm forced to park alongside half a dozen other cars doing the same. The staff are mostly teens that have a bit of an attitude.
Second time we have ordered from here and both times several items missing. Today hot cakes missing from the kids meal and no salsa for the breakfast burrito! Frustrated!
This McDonald’s consistently does not check to be sure orders are complete and accurate. I have had issues the last 2 times I’ve gone through the drive through. After getting all the way home and realizing order isn’t complete, then driving all the way back and reordering the staff aren’t even apologetic. It’s frustrating. Wouldn’t take much ti make the situation right. The management should have a policy in place for this situation to protect their front end workers and achieve a higher level of satisfaction from guests.
Crispy service, nice staff, reasonable price, and I loved the cuisine and fine dining experience! In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read.
Just received an order from this location delivered through a delivery service. We were missing a burger, a drink and the sauce for the nuggets. Despite the bags being covered with McDonalds stickers saying it was checked for accuracy. Yes, the items are showing on the receipt. Contacted the store to request they send the missing items and were told we would have to come and get them. If we paid for a delivery service and their bags claim the order was checked for accuracy why would we have to drive to the store to get the items they missed? Very poor experience!
