Nice place, will be back to try it again for sure, especially with the pet friendly patio!I thoroughly enjoyed the barbecue chicken pizza. The special my wife had been excited for was a bit less, and a bit overdone? Crust was hard & dried out. Won't order that again, but look forward to trying something different next time.
The staff were very friendly and polite but the pizza it’s self was lacking. Price has made a huge jump by about $5 for the build your own. The crust was flimsy that the toppings fell off and it was burnt on some parts. Not a lot toppings on the pizza. Just not enough pleasantness/appetizing food to justify $19 for a personal size pizza. We won’t be back
First time there on Thursday. Love the place. Pizza is delicious! My favourite style, very tasty thin crust, nice amount of cheese and the toppings are so fresh. I consider this guilt-free pizza. The atmosphere was a very nice surprise. Has a casual hangout feel and the board games are a great addition. I will positively be frequenting the Mad Italian.
I was pleasantly surprised during my visit to the Mad Italian. My Pizza was hand made fresh and to order which gave me a sense of individuality. I appreciated the quick service as well as the attentive staff. Very clean restaurant with an interesting lay out. Placed right in the middle of Willoughby, this place should be much busier than it currently is. Would love more variety in beer/beverages but overall it was a great experience.
I made a pick up order around 7 pm Thursday. I came back to home without opening the box. I realized my Hawaiian pizza is all black when I open the box. It is all burned. I only could eat small center part. Actually, taste was terrible. I trow it out because I can't eat it. I regret to forget taking a photo of my black pizza. I am sorry the lowest score is one star. It is negative 5 star.
Me and my fiance just moved to langley close by and I'm not a fan of pizza, the owner Jonathan was amazing, after he made our pizza he checked in with us, it felt very personal and I loved that. I can't wait to go back and watch as he grows in his company, The aesthetic of the place was well done, has a good vibe.Jonathan has made me a pizza fan!! I'll be back.
This place is a gem in the rock. Love the food and atmosphere. Staff and ownership are super down to earth. Hits the price point perfectly. Is my local pizza joint
The pizza is excellent here, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. One star pertains to the service.A Couple of incidences...1) Called in to order a pizza and came in to pick it up; however, the person taking the order on the phone (male with black hair) had forgotten to put the order through. They said it would only take 10 mins to make a new pizza (it took much longer than this, since I started the stopwatch on my phone). Finally, when they finished I said this is disappointing. The female server said we will learn from our mistakes and do better next time. Yes, it's possible they will; however, she said it in a very condescending tone.2) Called in about about four times attempting to order a pizza. Finally, someone picked up the phone to take the order. When I came in to pick up the pizza, the music playing was incredibly loud. So loud that I could imagine that the music would drown out any call. The restaurant was not busy and again is was the male employee with black hair that had forgotten to put my order through the last time I had an issue. Both of these incidences can be attributed to the same employee.Again, they make really incredibly pizza, I just wish this employee was not there to keep on making mistakes.
Pizza was really tasty, the toppings were loaded on but it wasn’t too much. Crust was crisp on the outside and nice chewy texture in the middle. Nice leopard spotting on the bottom and outer crust edge. It was also lightly drizzled with olive oil on the bottom and the top. Staff was very friendly and the décor was tasteful. Also tried the margarita pizza as well as the pepperoni. For me the margarita is the benchmark of how good (or how bad) a pizza place is, and this margarita pizza was very good. I shared it with an Italian friend that is a pizza fanatic and said it was one the best he had locally.
My first look and taste of my first pizza here was , " this is a lot like a pizza I had in Milan " ! Delicious and tasty , looked authentic and rich. Lovely food made from scratch.I have been back many times, the staff is friendly and courteous. Really nice atmosphere and aroma in the restaurant.Prices are very fair.
