This place is such a vibe! After having been to Italy, I find that a lot of restaurants let me down, but not this place! Live jazz music, a wonderful server who made the evening complete with his Italian accent and to die for food. I can not say enough good things about this experience. 100% recommend! The bonus is that it is in Fort Langley! Go give them a try and do yourself a favor and order their prize winning pizza!
The Fettuccine al Nero do Seppa was terrible. Undercooked pasta. No flavour, barely any sauce. When we asked for extra sauce we were told they only make it to order. Our table of 10, 4 of us ordered it. All with different amounts of sauce. They are their food because they were hungry after waiting over an hour. I sent my order back, server said sorry we can’t take it off your bill. I told her I’m not worried about paying for it, it was ridiculous that they didn’t even offer anything while I decide to order something else. Anyhow, us 10 give this place a 1!
Love the authentic Italian wood fired pizzas, and shopping in the Mercato! From dine in to take out the food quality & service is excellent time and time again! Highly Recommend!!!Visit and experience a taste of Italy in the heart of Fort Langley BC
Found this gem by chance when looking for coffee after lunch and everything else was full. We were helped by the most friendly lady who recommended us some pastries and some marmalade. She even gave us ideas to use it to prepare vinaigrette and salmon. The store offers different kinds of fresh pasta, sweets, and homemade bread. The restaurant side has a bakery with a yummy selection of cakes and a wood-burning oven! The place is very cozy and inviting. Next time will come for lunch.
Worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. It was like they didn’t know what they were doing. From the kitchen to the waiter. All around horrible. Food was mediocre at best, very bland. Went with a group of 6 people. They served our groups food in twos. First 2 meals came, watched them eat. Second 2 meals came 20 minutes later, watched them eat as well. Last 2 meals came out 25 minutes after the second and they watched me eat. It was so bad and they barely seemed to notice that anything was wrong. I will not go back and suggest the same for everyone else. Maybe if you go in a group of 2 you would have better luck. They also served beer over a month past the best before date, it was full of sediment. Poor experience.
That's it. I will never eat chicken parm again after ingesting raw chicken. Disgusting. But they didn't seem surprised.
We’ve been craving going to Mangia e Scappa for months and tonight was the night. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Our appy was not appealing at all we had the calamari. The dipping sauce was a spicy orange something can’t even describe it. The calamari were EXTRA crispy, they were actually hard. Ordered a pasta each one was EXCELLENT the other was hardly edible, didn’t even eat a quarter of it just couldn’t. We told the waiter all he said was sorry I will tell the manager, no manager came to talk to us. So we thought let’s have dessert and coffee, the dessert tasted old I spat out the only bite I took my husband swallowed his bite and made a face. Told the waiter he said he was going to tell the manager, no manager came to talk to us. Once the bill came the only thing that was comped was the cappuccino’s not the $28 pasta which would of been cool of them. Paid our bill and left a 15% tip. Maybe one day we will try again but for now will not be returning.
Great food and excellent service.
We had a terrible dining experience Ordered the mussels. Over half were not open and waitress argued that it was not their fault and still charged us 1/2 price! Terrible service. Food was lousy.
Good Italian restaurant, I was a little hesitant at the beginning, a couple of misspelled Italian words on the menu always make me think it's not authentic but it is! We had the calamari fritti and they were crunchy and not greasy. My husband had the gnocchi with gorgonzola, prosciutto and walnuts, very tasty and creamy, I had the fettucine al nero di seppia, highly recommended, the pasta was cooked right (not overcooked...chef is clearly Italian) and the sauce was creamy and delicate.I will try the pizza next time!
