Marvellous sushi selection and wonderful attention to detail. Price was very reasonable especially considering the quality and plating. Would recommend! ?
Arigatou ありがとう !This little joint is dope, an awesome hidden gem and easily a five star without a doubt!!We are so blessed to have good sushi all around Vancouver. However, this joint is by far a cut above the rest and some of the best sushi I have had in a long time for sure! The freshness, quality, consistency and flavor of everything we had was rad and super yummy. The perfect balance of chewy, crunchy and aromatic tasting. The level of detail was awesome in the fact that they even lightly brushed the sashimi with fresh lemon wedge which is a new experience for me. Combo'd with the sweet value for money makes this one of my best experiences and I'm totally stoked to return! Rolls are super fat, stuffed with wholesome fresh ingredients and crazy delicious, Takoyaki たこ焼き and Edamame 枝 was perfectly seasoned and not too much overkill. The best and freshest tasting Miso soup 味噌汁 I have ever had. Period.I have to give a special shout out to the staff who are super nice awesome people and made the dining experience incredible. Extremely talented and professional food and service with efficiency. A quaint, cozy and comfortable laid back vibe in a well decorated and authentic eatery.I love this sushi joint and found myself a new local eh!Support local businesses!
New owners (May 2022). No longer offers very good sushi or value. The tempura is soggy. The sushi is not fresh tasting (it's actually warm and not ice fresh). And the take out containers are cardboard. The sauce soaks through in the bag and all over your table at home. Yuck!!! Need to find another sushi place.

Bibimbap was really good for a place that recently opened and is a big dish that a 215 pound man can't finish. (I didn't eat the entire day too)
So you buy the highest rated sushi restaurant in the community and arrogantly change it.NOTHING WAS BROKEN!!This restaurant was fantastic before the management change and now we get dynamite rolls that are 5 inches in diameter.The salmon nigiri has been cut in half and it is now extra for a spicy California roll as it is no longer on the menu.Good god,know your clientele.Like many others, we supported this place during COVID but won’t be going back again.“New Management” does not always mean “better management” and this place is no exception.
My wife haven’t been able to have a nice dinner since my son hit his terrible two’s, today when we came to Chef Sushi we were blown away by the kind of service we received from Jeremy. Not only did he bring out my sons food early and new cutlery when my son started throwing things around but he also let us know not to worry and that this happens all the time, he wouldn’t let us pick anything up and insisted that we relax and enjoy while he takes care of the cleaning.I haven’t enjoyed a meal like this in a while and it’s all thanks to Jeremy and his humble, positive and caring attitude. Thanks Jeremy!
Second time dining here and even better than the first. Had the calamari this time and it was spicy and delicious. I personal sit and watch the sushi be prepared at the sushi bar. The staff is delightful and friendly, keeping those beverages a flowin'! The sushi is fresh and well presented. I watched as a dish was created with a blue light under shaved ice which had the entree sitting on top. My sushi was not only well presented but very fresh. I will definitely be back again.
The assorted sushi is very good. The quality of the fish is very well. Price is quite reasonable. We enjoyed our meal here, will come back again
Good price and clean, owner is very attentive to your needs. Sushi is good quality with some Korean food choices so you can’t guess it wrong. Yes, the chef is Korean, but don’t be narrow minded as you are in Vancouver, most of Korean sushi place has good performance. The only things that are unattractive would be the item I ordered, most of them are not available. As you can imagine, that is pretty turn off. Anyway, please come out and try if you are in the neighbourhood
