They have been cooking excellent Chinese food for a very long time. I bet we've been going there for 30 years and it has always been fresh, delicious, and hot. I appreciate their consistency over the years. I know I will get very good food at a good price.
We have lived in Pandosy Village for more than 8 years. Back then The Orient had pretty good food, both buffet and take-out. But in recent years, the food quality has really suffered. After ordering a few take-out meals, we sensed the food was not as good as it once was. But, we thought we'd try one more time tonight: Nov. 5, 2021. We ordered the Honey Garlic Sesame Chicken for take-out. The chicken was so tough and hard we could barely eat it. $15 wasted. So, that's it. No more. I really don't understand this business model.
I came to know Kelowna and I found this place I like Chinese food! I am a chef, the service of the woman who attends customers is very bad, I had a question about the menu and she got angry and tried to explain myself in an unpleasant way, I am not an exaggerated person but I know a lot about customer service and she doesn't know any! disappointed in that place!
Chow mein was bland and super slimey, deep fried food was soaked in grease on top of that my stomach has been in so much pain all night please for the love of god do not eat here

I just wanted to make pickup order for my dinner. A woman with orient accent received my call and she was just unacceptable. I could not understand what she said and she was just rude, I am not fun of Chinese cuisine but my friend recommended this place. I need to order pizza!
Really disappointing. First time ordering from here and definitely the last. The chicken chow mein was super bland, no taste at all. The sweet & sour pork didn't have have enough "sweet" or enough "sour" in the batter. Also the batter was really soft and mushy. It tasted like something my mother made at home not an authentic Chinese cuisine. And to complete my order, the beef chop suey came about half filled in the to go package when anywhere else you order from the portion is full to the top of the to go container. Not impressed at all! $30 for the 3 dishes and I ended up giving it away to a homeless man. I hope that something good could come out of the experience by being able to feed the less fortunate. I hope it was a good dead??
