We had an amazing experience here, and how incredible it was as someone with celiacs and who is vegan to be able to enjoy everything there! We tried many donuts: chai, strawberry shortcake, chocolate s’mores, lemon lavender, and passion fruit - all which were amazing! There were lots of flavour options with a vanilla or chocolate donut base. The pineapple crumble and coffees were delicious too. We went twice on our trip to Kelowna and can’t wait to visit again!
Purchased four “donut” (they are more like mini cakes) flavours and a Nanaimo bar. These were nice treats and would be especially good for kids I think, but they were all too sweet for me.For the donuts, it seemed like the same vanilla cake base for most of the donuts we had which was overpowered by the sweetness of the icings. The chocolate cake base for the Oreo donut was less overpowered by the icing but it was hard to taste any Oreo.
A local cafe to me. First time I went I had no idea it was a vegan cafe. Ordered coffee with oatmeal instead of oat milk because I had no idea what to order as a non vegan! My bad. I really enjoy the coffee here (with oat milk) The cakes are really nice too. My favourites are the lavender doughnut and the date square. I would say though that I wish they had a few more savory options. Cafe is now a regular for me.
Bought an assortment of sweets for a diner party. Absolutely everything was unbelievably delicious!! Nobody would ever have known that it was all gluten free if I had not told them. Highly recommend 10/10!DELICIOUS!!
I had the best latte of my entire life at Jaide & Joel’s this morning! I ordered the Vanilla Lavender Latte with oat milk! ☺️ I also had a gluten-free passionfruit donut and it was tangy and delicious! 10/10 would recommend!
Loved the strawberry rhubarb slice, and my husband’s sandwich was delicious. Own made fresh and frozen bread for sale. The blueberry scones in the freezer were very tempting. Did not miss the gluten.
What a great spot in Rutland. Beautiful cafe/bakery. Vegan and gluten free bakery but if that puts you are missing out. A great bakery period. Awesome donuts and other baked sweets. Kootenay coffee with all the specialties that you like. Espresso, latte etc.Enjoyed the strawberry rhubarb slice. Gluten free? Yes? Did I notice? I love this place! Being vegan for a few years now, I had thought my cupcake and doughnut enjoyment was done forever, but they've saved me! I do find it tough to get out to them regularly, but that just makes the treat even sweeter. Lots of variety, they've turned me onto vegan cookies and the coffee they serve is amazing! Local, kind, clean and a beautiful space. All my thumbs would be up, but I can't hold a cupcake that way. <3
