Sadly I’ve had to come back and edit my previous five star review. To their credit the food was superb until my most recent experience. I picked up my food and the order was incorrect which is forgivable. I returned to the restaurant and they corrected the order but the food I was given was absolutely terrible. My burrito was completely dried out and filled with steak so tough and overcooked I couldn’t chew it. I ended up throwing it out. Churros were equally dry and inedible. I’m extremely disappointed as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants.
Hector's was recommended to us by our Vrbo host, and we were not disappointed! Great atmosphere on a summer night (didn't realize there was a hidden gem of a patio in the back!)The tacos were delicious, and the Nachos were a bit different from typical pub fare (in a good way!) they were flavorful and a single order was perfect for 2 to share.My margarita on the rocks was perfect.Service was prompt and friendly.Highly recommend!
Was an endearing restaurant with really attentive service (our water glasses were never empty!) The food was really delicious, everything was very flavourful and colourful and tasted authentic, which we were pleasantly surprised by. We ordered the salsa, guacamole, enchilada verde and red, the chicken fajitas, churros, and for drinks 2 types of margaritas (blended and on the rocks) and the Michelada - we enjoyed everything!
Visiting Kelowna for the week. Arrived at 8:00pm. We were seated, two couples seated after us. Both received water, both received drinks and then server proceeded to take their orders. Seriously? It’s a very small restaurant and they were well staffed yet we were invisible. Decided it wasn’t the restaurant for us. Obviously can’t comment on the food but the service needs some work.
They have a nice decor and a great patio. Also a lot of options for Jarritos flavours to choose from. Their burrito was also decently large and full of fresh fillings.However the enchiladas could’ve been better. The sauce was quite bland and the stuffing was mostly potatoes with tiny shreds of chicken. It needs to be all chicken. The mojito was also not the most refreshing.They do have really good Nachos. The medium size option was good for 6.
Hector's Casa redefined the burrito, and Mexican Cuisine as a whole for me. Absolutely unreal yummy! Unbeatable flavour. Absolutely mindblowing combination of spices. The meat was perfectly tender, veggie ratio on point, tortillas soft and sauces delectable. My first visit was today, and I know I will definitely be back soon!!! Their drinks are super yummy, too ?
The best mexican food ever had in BC. Love the authenticity of the food. On to my list every time I visit Kelowna. Excellent service!!
Authentic Mexican in Kelowna B.C. ! We had a wonderful dinner with family. The tacos and burritos are not to be missed. Everything was perfect including assistance with a 3 year old. If you are looking for Mexican food in the Mission area of Kelowna here’s your destination.
Great Location- easy to find with lots of parking.The location is family friend, date friendly, and their food is comparable to all of the yummy home made food I've had during my travels.We had tons of tacos, shared ceviche and were super happy with the presentation and also the quality of the food.Congrats Hector! You've won us over!
