We haven’t had fish and chips for a long time but decided to check out The Broken Anchor as they offer a gluten free batter.- Wild pacific cod ($21.55 for 1/2 lb) - cod was extremely disappointing; completely dry and overcooked. Fries were soggy, limp and bland.- Steamed clams & mussels ($19.00) - white wine sauce with garlic was decent but something you could replicate at home. Was hoping to find a gem but left Broken Anchor disappointed. Try somewhere else for your fish & chip fix.

Eating here always puts a smile on my face because of how deliciously fresh and yummy the food is, and how many Gluten Free options there are. If you have the pleasure of meeting the owner Ross, you're in for a treat! Would recommend this place to anyone!

We needed a fish and chips fix and this was a great option, Mussels were great too! Deep friends shrimps were pretty big as well~Chips were a bit salty.Otherwise all good!

Not bad for fish and chips. We ordered the big family pack, Fish was nice and crispy but the fries were so dry. Prawns were way too greasy.

It’s a new ownership. The fish portion is smaller than the previous one when I came here a few years ago. But the fish and chips were tasty and fresh.

This was the best Fish and chips that We had had for a long time. The batter on the fish was perfect (nice and crispy) The fries were very good and fresh. We ordered a 2 piece cod dinner with a extra piece of fish and it was enough for the two of usThank you to the Broken Anchor and we definitely be order again

This is our go-to place for fish & chips. We've tried other shops but nothing comes close to the quality and taste of Broken Anchor's halibut and chips. The fish batter is light and the fish divine! I also love the battered salmon that surprised me with how tasty it was. As an added bonus, the batter is gluten-free, which is great for people with gluten sensitivities. I also really like the freshness of the tartar sauce and flavour of the coleslaw (is there cumin in it?). The chips remind me of the fries from the food trucks in Ottawa - yum! The only downside is that they are not open on Tuesdays - fingers crossed that changes soon!

Excellent!! Best gluten free fish and chips I have ever had.Super safe kitchen I have never gotten sick. I am celiac ans have anaphylaxis to wheat.

So good! As a celiac visiting from out of town I was so excited to find gluten free fish and chips! Everything was chrispy anddelicious. We will be back next time we visit K-town.

Just now ordered as it was one of the highest-rated places for fish and chips but in vain. What a disaster it was, you can see the pics yourself. Dry fish, thick batter and fries were burnt and in pieces. Who serves such fries? Fish was also not tasty at all, $27 in drain. Avoid this place at all means! Such a waste!
