Used to like going for lunch here. That’s changing. New cooks need a lesson or two. I don’t recommend this place anymore. I told the waitress the wings were way over cooked and had no flavour. I ordered sauce but they came plain. She responded by saying whatever and walking away. I guess it isn’t just the cooks that don’t care there anymore. I’ll be going to turner valley for lunch now.

It appears there is a theme here. We had a similar experience to "Threatened by owner". We were confronted by the same angry, hostile manager/owner and while we had a reservation, were ultimately turned away in an angry outburst. Completely bizarre and unacceptable behaviour. We are long time Big White property owners and season pass holders. Apparently he does not distinguish between visitors and residents. My advice--give this place a wide berth.

the food and staff amazing best place to enjoy lunch and dinner , we will all ways come back, manager very help full and friendly

We just had an appalling experience this afternoon at this restaurant. We came in for lunch and waited several minutes at the front door to be seated. An older man who looked to be the manager/owner was at the door and on the phone. After multiple minutes of not being acknowledged, we decided to leave and find another restaurant. We left. He followed us outside and started screaming and swearing at us as he accused us of giving him a dirty look. It was violent, disgusting, and completely unhinged behaviour. We will be reporting this incident to big white.

We waited 1 hr 20 minutes from the time we sat down until we got our food. Several tables came in after us and received their food while we waited. Asked the waiter after about 60 minutes if our food was coming and he went and checked, came back and said it would be five minutes as my steak was ‘resting’.A good ten minutes later our food came and I asked to see the manager. He came shortly thereafter but after hearing that I was questioning why it would take so long and why so many other tables would receive food before us he said ‘that sort of thing happens’. Very dismissive. No apology for how long it took. The place was full so he was happy with all the business he had I assume and two dissatisfied customers were not going to upset his night. I told our server that I would not tip him due to the kitchen’s issue (or was it our server?) and really part of that was how the manager handled it. Told the server that too. It was our 30th wedding Anniversary dinner too which only made the service issue more annoying. Won’t go back. Won’t recommend and we have lots of friends who spend money at Big White.

Now that Covid is on the decline, we decided to head out to Black Diamond for dinner. It was very busy and we were glad we had reservations. While there are not many vegetarian or vegan options, we had the one main dish that was (mushroom pappardelle) and it was wonderful. Great salad and apple and the server was friendly and efficient. Definitely worth trying.

Wow. Can't believe these guys are rated so high? Doesn't add up. The food is average at best, but of course at fine dinning prices. Waited over an hr for chicken wings that coat 16 dollars a lb. The waitress was disterbingly rude, literally throwing menus across our table. The food is bad, everything is over priced, the service is poor at best. Don't waste your time or money, many other bars and restaurants in the area that are significantly better.

We had dinner there twice during our stay and really enjoyed it both times. Once as a group of 6 and went back with just my wife since it is currently the nicest restaurant there, with 6 Degrees and Happy Valley steakhouse both closed for Covid.

Amazing customer service, cocktails & food selection, something for everyone! flat breads, burgers, rubin sandwich, salads, all delicious, Thank you Don, Teresa

Over crowded not covid safe horrible experience overall. The owner (who wore a sneeze guard rather than an actual mask) was rude and abrupt because I asked about a large group of people who came in without their vaccine passport being checked far beyond 6 per table. The food was okay but their gluten free options were a lie (I have celiac disease), I was told by the waitress (who was lovely) that the menu had changed several times. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
