We were in the mood for chicken but not the typical fast food. I found Tongdak on Google and their menu options all sounded delicious and the prices were also fair. So we ordered two of the honey butter garlic boxes and two of the Korean corn dogs. First off, when we brought it to the car the smell was absolutely heavenly. It was all hot and fresh & the presentation was nice. I tried the Korean corn dog first…wow! It was not your standard corn dog. It was crispy, lightly dusted with sugar and had a little drizzle of ketchup and mustard. Filled with mozzarella cheese for that satisfying cheese pull and then your little beef dog. 10/10. The chicken was phenomenal. Hands down some of the best fried chicken I’ve tasted. There was a perfect amount of sauce and the pieces of chicken were a surprisingly large size which allowed for us to have the rest the following day. Even being re-heated in the air fryer, they were still just as delicious as when they were fresh! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. So good!
The chicken is so crispy and delicious and there are so many different flavor options but the yang nyeum was my favourite, perfect amount of spice. The korean corn dogs were also out of this world, so delicious. Hands down the best place in Kamloops to get fried chicken.The service was quick and the staff are wonderful. I would recommend this place to absolutely everyone. It's a local gem.
We ordered the Honey and Yang Nyeum chicken for the very first time and WOW! i am so impressed with how AMAZING it was!! They both were juicy and crispy and the flavour was definitely there! The fries are so crispy and light and the doughnuts are just ?If you haven’t tried it why are you waiting?!
I ordered the Yang nyeum, honey butter garlic, and donuts. All amazing! The sweet and spicy has that perfect blend of not too spicy but a nice tingle. girlfriend loved the honey chicken because she doesn't like spice. The donuts were really fluffy and good aswell. Want to give all their options a try! Chicken is perfectly crispy and delicious even leftover. This is top notch food guys, give it a try!*forgot to mention even the fries and little rice puffs are so good! This is my new fav takeout!
Tongdak has been our favourite takeout spot since the beginning of the pandemic. Having now tried the other two Korean fried chicken restaurants in Kamloops, we can confirm that Tongdak is still hands down our favourite. The chicken pieces are larger than their competitors, better seasoned, and have the perfect amount of crispiness.
Close to home. Ready for pickup on time.. best fried chicken I've had in Kamloops. Will return absolutely. Decently priced..
The chicken was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be going back to Tong Dak when we are in Kamloops next time. Just wish this was closer to home!
110% THE BEST CHICKEN IN TOWN! ???This hidden gem has impressed me. I ordered the chicken salad and almost fell off my chair when I tasted the chicken! Crispy juicy fresh and absolutely divine! They definitely have a loyal customer for life with me.? I will be bragging to all my friends and family about Tongdak. The quality is top notch perfection. The portions are generous and extremely fresh! The staff are happy and very kind. ?
Wow! Super delish, tender and juicy! Huge serving size. Super friendly staff! Can't wait to try some different flavors. I tried the Gan-Jang and it was full of flavor!
Love the garlic soy chicken, amazing and hot and crispy. Love the staff as well, and their online ordering app and pick up works great. 10/10, and now they have another location!
