They're serious about their spice!Food is really good but if your kids are super hungry after a long road trip, then be prepared to wait a little if they're busy. The coconut konju soup is delicious and would highly recommend. Dosas are really good. Really enjoyed the plain and chilly cheese dosas.Polite staff. They do not serve halal.
Fantastic food. Great recommendations from staff. Exceptional service. We had chicken kothu parota which we'd never had and it was so flavourful. Then beef peralan and chicken kothu...both spicy and delicious. We were stuffed! It was a Friday and the place was full. Highly recommend it.
Traditional Kerala cuisine in Kamloops. Loved the Kappa and meen curry as it was so much similar to what we get back in Kerala. Ordered their chicken dum biriyani and zafrani biriyani after reading good reviews about it, but didn’t feel that great about it, as it was okay-okay. Their beef coconut pepper fry was tasty. The food might take a bit to be served after you order. So be patient and be ready to treat yourself.
Nice cozy place with good ambience. Good food with authentic taste of South Indian food. Server girl friendly and efficient
Had the mango chicken, asked for mild and it was really good! Still a bit spicy, so be aware if you have low tolerance to spice. It is Indian after all! Bit pricey but what can you expect in this area? Cheers!
Best place to try the South Indian Food!----------------------------------Must Try: Kotha Parota (1st preference), Biryani/Dosa'sPrice: ReasonableParking: Paid Street parkingCrowd: MoreDine In Service: Very Slow----------------------------------Highlights:Their Dine In service is very slow, you may need to wait more than 30 to 45Min to get the food
Lovely spot, sweet people and amazing food. We live in Kamloops and this will now be our go to spot!
Mind blowing flavours, dosa both soft and crispy (i know what a paradox). Excellent presentation. Set aside some extra time, slightly longer wait is worth it for an amazing experience.Edit to respond to owner: thanks for responding! The delay is not a criticism and appreciate everyone is short staffed now. I very much enjoyed the experience (:
The most authentic Indian experience I have had outside of India. Feels like home away from home. We had a chilli chicken dosa - blown away by the melange of subtle flavours - and a Zafrani biriyani - again absolutely out of the world experience for a biriyani lover like me. Christina did an amazing job serving the meal and hosting us. Will be visiting this place whenever I miss home.
Just ordered from The Coconut for the first time tonight and absolutely loved everything about it!!! I've been looking for a new place to get Butter Chicken since The Raj Indian Kitchen lost my families business, and this is definitely going to be my new go-to!! The butter chicken was so good and the garlic Naan was to die for! Will be telling my family and friends about this place, can't say enough good things. Definitely the best in town by far. Thank you guys ?
