Enjoyed our birthday dinner. Friendly and attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their meal, try the mango margarita! Will come back.
Take out order for five. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos, sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle, fish and shrimp had so much breading on them you couldn’t tell what it was. Also had traditional tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas, and it just was all a greasy mess of yuck. Refried beans and rice were completely tasteless. The empanada appetizer was the only decent item. Ceviche tasted nothing like ceviche I’ve ever had before. This place is anything, but authentic Mexican. Used to be very high-quality food when it was Quilas, very disappointed.
I had the chance to try this Mexican food at the Kamloopa Pow Wow and get to know this Amazing Caring Friendly Staff. The Crispy Flautas are a Perfect Crispy treat. The Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla was so Juicy and Flavourful. Not to mention the Horchata and Jamaica Hibiscus Water was a Huge Hit at this event! Thank you and the next time I’m in town I’m coming to try the other menu items at Your Local Restaurant.
Stopped in for a late lunch after a long drive in a hot day. Sat at a shaded table outside and immediately were brought some homemade chips and salsa. We ordered our beer (several choices of Mexican beer) which came quickly. The menu is huge, so asked the charming waitress for recommendations. We ended up choosing the ceviche and tacos to share. We were very impressed with the ceviche, which was a huge serving, absolutely packed with seafood. The tacos were very flavourful and were served with refried beans and rice. Wonderful service and food: would love to try more from the menu.

Our first experience was good.. Very busy but were short staff. They messed up my food :( but they were polite. I was just sad to see how much they were struggling with staff. Will return because of the service provided even after being so short staffed. ?
Amazing little Mexican food restaurant in the heart of Kamloops. The owners are lovely and their passion for food becomes more and more obvious with every bite. Their banana empanadas were amazing so save some room.
This is a typical Mexican restaurant. The ambience and the food is perfect for sharing with family or friends. Carolina was our waitress and she was very kind and friendly. I ordered chimichanga and it was such a big and delicious dish. Even two people can get full with a single dish
The positives... Food was very good, atmosphere is fun, and service was friendly. The not so positives... It's on the pricey side for what you get and they made a mistake with an order then made that person wait way too long to get their order even though it was perhaps the simplest thing on the menu (a burrito). It's the little things that matter and I feel like they missed them.
