Absolutely fantastic Hakka food. Out of all the places in BC that we've had Hakka food, this place is the best. Order literally anything on the menu and it turns out to be great.Heads up, some dishes are very spicy so pay attention to the menu and ask for less spicy if you don't like spicy.I'd give this place a 10 star if I could, highly recommend!
Owners Paul & Peter, super friendly and hospitable. Decided to eat inside at the window bar. This is typically a take out service. Just went due to the positive reviews and the food was amazing. Our first time having Indian Chinese and first time here. Definitely won't be the last, we are hooked. Some of the most tasty, flavorful, and tender food in a long long while. Been discouraged going to restaurants the past few years. Would drive from Maple Ridge again to eat here again!! Portions very decent and well worth the price. You can tell they are passionate about when they do!
Ordered for take out from Manchu Masala. Their sweet and sour chicken is staple for us to order as it's balance of flavour and sweetness is just to my liking. I thoroughly approve their use of pineapples for this dish.Their egg fried rice was good and the vegetables chow mein was excellent.Tried their garlic chicken for the first time and that was a hit. It had the sweetness like their sweet and sour, but more of a garlic flavor twist. It was delicious and something we will order again.Excellent portion sizes with reasonable prices and really good taste.
I’m almost sad giving this review, but the business needs to know. I ordered Mother’s Day lunch for my family, and upon arriving home I found that 2 of the containers were not closed completely 1 of them being soup and the whole meal was covered in soup and sauce and to be honest more then half the order was ruined. The food has always been tasty but they need to step on the way the send out there pick up orders the containers and bagging method they use just doesn’t work. Now I’m stuck with over $100 dollars of food and one whole bag 3 items in a bag are swimming in hot and sour soup. I hope the owners see it and take my words into consideration.
It was ok the food, however, when paying for the items, the tip menu appears which is not good as this makes us feel that we need to provide a tip even though the service was nice and if we dont tip, we feel cheap. If we had eaten the food inside the restaurant, we can tip based on the service given, but why give tip menu if we order food via phone. What if we dont like the food when we eat it at home? And we gave tip for no reason. Try to find a way where the payment terminal gives not give the tip option when paying for food.
Found the customer service, taste of the food and quantity excellent. Potions were generous. However, we found the Fish Haaji to be chewy and tough. The batter was too thick. All the other food items we ordered were very good. Will order from Manchu and Masala again, but we will avoid ordering the batter fried items. This is a must try take away cafe if you like Indian Chinese cuisine.
Last weekend we had our mom's 75th birthday celebration and I had specifically called to ensure that the food be hot, ready to go for the specified time and the portions be up to par like when we ordered before because I did not want to run out of food for 17 people and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh, hot, tasty and big portions...we definitely did not run out of food! Thank you guys for respecting my requests, you delivered what you promised. My family enjoyed the food. The flavor of the food never changes, it's always good to know you will get the same great taste everytime you order. The staff is always friendly even though they are super busy, they still make time for you!

Delicious with huge portions! And super friendly. We ordered three items (Hakka noodle, Manchurian cauliflower and haaji fish) and a small soup. The cauliflower dish is so amazing! Definitely will go back.
This is my go-to place for Indo-chinese food in Surrey. The taste is really good, but is a bit different from the Indian chinese food we find in India (tbh, I haven't found any place in North America, that serves indo Chinese food as good as you get in India).Nevertheless, the taste is still really good and I enjoy it. The quantity is a lot, and an order of a gravy & fried rice can serve 2-3 people easily.I usually order Chicken Manchurian gravy or the Chicken Garlic gravy; and the chicken fried rice.Haven't tried the other menu items yet, but will try them out in the future.
