Excited to find this Filipino restaurant in Surrey. Bought 2 platters-$80+ and $112 for meat platter- worst expensive seems reheated left over food cooked. Unchewable burnt ends lumpia shanghai. My aunt 94 y/o cannot even chew or swallow for fear of choking. Only 2 BBQ sticks in a $112 meat platter. Extra Small cut crispy pata on the platter. Only plain Soup stock served included w Platters. Paying Canadian $330 is not cool for these 2 platters. Sticky uncleaned floors. The worst Filipino restaurant I have ever tried in my entire 60 yrs of life. Horrible experience. Hope u wont get tricked on a reunion get together like what we did meeting family in Surrey.
If you like Filipino food and would like a restaurant that is not ‘turo-turo’ style then this is a good place to come try. The menu has a lot of different options to choose from. The sinigang and pork bbq are generally my favourite Filipino food and the flavours are on point with how they should taste. However, I wouldn’t say anything is pulling me to come back. Also, the service is not very attentive.. they do not come and check in on you at all. If you need something you have to go up to the counter to get their attention. Overall, this is an authentic Filipino restaurant that I would recommend to others if try if they never had our cuisine and don’t already have a Filipino friend to feed them this food at their home ;)
Way too overpriced for the quality of food. We ordered take out. Sisig, Kare-kare, Kaldereta and we paid $80. Over half if the meat was fat. Portion is so-so too
I came here yesterday and asked to use the washroom as it was an emergency for me and the lady working there refused me to use and was very rude. Even after requesting 2-3 times she didn’t allow me to use it. I could have buy the food after the restroom usage. Anyway!! They need to teach their employees about HUMANITY.
Ordered pork sisig for to go and they gave us warm burnt pork and the serving was less. The food looked and tasted like a leftover from yesterday’s serving. ??
if i could give it zero stars, i will. The food is not worth it. it used to be a great restaurant (or maybe just the richmond location). the food that was given to me were as hard as pebbles/marbles. Can't even eat it- my money went to waste.,i was gonna return it but i live a little far. This delta location is a scam. they call it filipino dish but it doesnt taste like one.
The amount of food you get for the price?!?!Almost $30 for maybe 10pcs of squid?!? There was 3 pcs of meat and all vegetables in the kare kare? I understand inflation but seriously?!? Wow!
Lousy service. They don’t really cater to the needs of their customers. Last call time is 7:30pm. The first time i aarived there was 7:33 and they said i cant dine in anymore because it’s past the last call. The following day i arrived at 7:22 pm and still i was not allowed to dine in. They should change their last call to 7pm if they really know what last call means.. i will never dine and won’t recommend this restaurant ever.
We recently went to Kumare for take out food, we ordered Kaldereta that cost $19 for about 4 or 5 pieces of meat! Highway robbery!
The waitress gave the dirty spoon and fork (w/ food residue) w/o even inspecting it. We ordered Papaitan and Sisig. They forgot to cook the Sisig, my husband needed to go to the counter to remind them about the order. Staff kept on chitchatting instead of asking the customers, if they need anything else. My husband approached the cashier thrice to follow up order and ask for water. This would be the last visit and never again. The Sisig tasted so bad that we did not eat it. This restaurant needs to be closed for unsanitary cutleries and ill-prepared food.
