The reviewer giving only 1 star because of the containers was very unfair to this excellent place. Sushi rolls are better now than they have ever been. By the way, the containers are now cardboard.
After a few trial and errors around Japanese restaurants in the area, we’ve landed on Peekaboo as our go-to. It’s consistent, always on time, delicious and plentiful! I believe they’ve also updated their menu in the new year, which I think was the one thing missing!I noticed a 1 star review on the take-out packaging. I am reporting that they do NOT use styrofoam anymore. (PSA styrofoam can be returned to the depot for recycling), but I appreciate that a small business made the effort to listen to customer concerns. I can imagine it’s not an easy economical decision, especially during high take-out rates of covid, I’m sure.
Delicious inari, miso and tempura. The miso was full flavour and had a great ratio of broth to greens. Inari was well seasoned. Tempura dipping sauce was light and not overly sweet. Lunch bento box cane with a really nice salad dressing and fresh orange slices. Nice added touch. Felt really fresh! Had baby high chair. Attentive and generous.
Bistro Peekaboo has been our favorite Japanese Restaurant for years but we will be eating elsewhere in the future until their practice of packaging take-out in Styrofoam containers stops.The food is fresh and tasty. The services is excellent and the staff are friendly but I cannot continue to support this restaurant when there are plenty of recyclable options for packaging take-out food today.Get with the times and do the right things for the planet!Frances
Great Sushi in a relaxed atmosphere. Special attention is given to creating tasty and visually appealing dishes. Service was great and the price was very reasonable. Good for a small or medium sized group with good service for takeout as well. We went back for a second meal within a few days of our first one ... favorite Sushi place in the area!

Excellent meal to go. We were on our way to the ferry and were so glad to pick this restaurant. The 7 sashimi platter was generous, diverse and super fresh. The toro platter was also great with big pieces of fish. Yum yum yum!
Definatly authentic Japanese dining. I have been to Japan and I love this Bistro because the food brings back alot of very fond memories.

We recently moved to the area and have been trying a lot of the Japanese restaurants in the surrounding areas. Happy to announce that this is definitely the top of the list!The tempura was very tasty and mostly still crispy (a hard feat in take out orders) and the raw fish was fresh.The atomic roll was my favourite!Our only complaint about the sushi was that it was cut too thin and difficult to pick up without it falling apart.Looking forward to trying more menu items!
