Stay far away from this place. Fake reviews. Coquitlam is probably the capital of multiculturalism and menus like these are tons.Teriyaki chicken with rotted vegetables! Watery sauce. Beef teriyaki stunk like it was someone's left over. Omg! Compare this place with almost ANY other Japanese/Korean run place. Terrible!
What a treat this place was. I went with my partner on May 27, 2022. It's a cozy little family-run restaurant with high dividers between the tables, which I love. The entire restaurant is filled with little decorations. As we entered, we were greeted by the sweetest lady who sat us immediately and was incredibly kind and friendly. The food was incredible for the price range. My partner got a dinner bento which was too big for her to finish, and I ordered a korean chirashi donburi, which had fresh, delicious fish in just the right ratio, fresh greens, and a small bed of rice underneath. We also shared a real crab california roll. This ranks among my favorite sushi restaurants in the area, and we'll definitely be coming back. Thank you Yoko for the great experience!
This place is great. The staff is really nice and I love the way they make salmon/tuna dons. They also deliver free if your within 3km so pretty koooo
Eating here is always a pleasant experience, remaining consistently good for many years. Great special rolls, good pricing, and a good ambience. I recommend coming in and trying some of their creative rolls and great flavour combinations
My family and I eat sushi frequently. At least once a week. We really enjoy it, and sushi is a pretty heathy take out option. We have ordered from 100's of local sushi restaurants over the years. Nothing in the burbs comes close to Yoko Sushi. Their sushi is always fresh and the family that owes the restaurant are so friendly especially to children. Just a great experience every time.We moved to Pitt Meadows and have yet to find a sushi restaurant that comes close to how we feel about Yoko Sushi. We sometimes make the 25 minute drive to get our fix, its that good.
Went there today for Valentines, and I suggest not going on any holiday to this place or weekends in general since there was barely service. It took forever for the food to get there, and the food portions was very small for their price. Whenever we tried to get service by raising our hand we always got ignored, we didn’t even get our vaccination passports checked. We ordered items that we didn’t receive in the end such as a beer, where she asked for an id but never checked it, and never gave our beer. The place wasn’t even that busy, they were more focused on doing take out orders than dine it. Worst part was when we got our bill it came to a whopping $72, with no service, my boyfriend was nice so we tipped but for the absolutely 0 service we got. They should really hire more people
Came here tonight with my boyfriend and the lady who served us (Sally I’m pretty sure) was super friendly and attentive, she greeted and seated us right away which was a great first impression. The restaurant was very clean. Most importantly, the food was amazing! Our appetizers came out very quickly as did our main dishes, and they were very fresh and tasty. I really liked how the rolls were not extravagantly large like some sushi places make them. Way to go Yoko Sushi, we will be back soon!!
I must have came in on the wrong day because the food was just awful. When we try a new restaurant, I always order more than I can eat to sample a wide selection of food. This sushi joint was easily the worse sushi we have tasted. The chicken teriyaki tasted like it came from a can if there is such a thing? Overcooked, rubbery, and lack any flavor. The sushi wasn't any better, the seaweed was so chewy and for some reason, it felt warm to the taste. Most of the food look so depressing. Only thing that we agree was acceptable was the salad. The service was excellent. I hate to give a low rating for a family run business but if they can elevate their food to the same level as their customer service or have some standard for the food that they put out then this place can be a winner!
Very kind, accommodating and attentive family ownership; even with their masks on you know there is a friendly smile underneath, welcoming you in and thanking you for your patronage on your way out. Really love coming to this quaint, relaxing restaurant and enjoying their Sushi and hot Sake; always lifts the spirits. As a regular for some time now, I appreciate the quality and consistency of the food they serve me. Thanks guys!
