I had a negative experience with Lucky Gate. Firstly, they only accept cash or debit but this was not listed anywhere on their website nor was I advised of this when I called to place the order. My partner walked there with only a credit card and I had to rush out to meet him with a debit card before the food went cold.I ordered the deep fried spicy chicken and, to be frank, it was disgusting. They literally just deep fried the chicken—there was no coating of any kind. It was chewy, dry, and very gristly. My partner ordered the sweet and sour pork and while the portion was massive, his meat was also gristly and dry.I cannot recommend and I will not be returning, especially for the cost.
Shrimp fried rice and hot and sour soup for 30 bucks. Big soup lacking flavor and had no pork or shrimp , small rice. Definitely wouldn't go back.
Food is good and tasty but always short of staff and took longer to wait and sometimes may can't get what you wanted. Overall is good
My 1st time ordering here & never again. I ordered Special War Wonton Soup (they over- loaded the Broth with Salt or Soya Sauce (Customers are suppose to add if wanted & way too much 4 or 5 Allspice. I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken (too greasy & too much batter and they covered the to go Food Container with SARAN WRAP & no Restaurant Food Cover. I ordered House Special Fried Rice (it was just warm Rice with no Flavour, it was not Pan Fried. This is the worst food ever and I have eaten a lot of Chinese Food in my Entire Life.
Authentic Chinese restaurant. I like the taste and the price is very decent! My kids love the food and ask to come again. Will definitely return and try other items.
Althought the restaurant is quite small, the staff their is fairly nice, also being quite generous with their portions. Last time I went, my group bought some giant lamb bowl thing for around $38, and it was a lot bigger than we had expected. We brought 6 people and could not finish it! Definitely a small local chinese restaurant to support!
The food was not bad. The skin of the siu long bao was pretty thin which was good. But the meat was on the bland side. And so was the green onion pancake, it looks perfect but they forgot to put salt or any taste in it. But the price of the dim sum is quite reasonable. The pan fried rice cake was bland too. The salty soy milk and lamb skewers was the two items that was really good and tasty. But the waitress do not speak English, but u can order by the number of the items.
Food is average quality. Prices are OK considering the portion sizes.Staff speak little or no English. Phone service is rude. Staff glared at me when I went in to order in person.Racism: As other reviewers have noted, non - Chinese are made unwelcome here.0/5 stars
Allow me to order for you (for two or one famished person):-House Special Stir Fry with Knife Shaved Noodles (beef tendon, shrimp, scallops and veggies)-Xiao Long Bao (not the best XLB but decent)-Lamb Skewers+1 more person-Xinjiang Da Pan Ji with Knife Shaved Noodles (big plate chicken)Go as early in the evening as you can, their noodle quality tend to suffer as the night goes on. They get quite busy on weekends and service tend to be a bit slower. The place is quite comfy to sit in, be kind to the staff and you'll have an absolutely lovely time there.
