A new Neapolitan pizza joint is always good news. We walked by La Ruota once and decided to grab a few slices. Since then, it has become one of our main choices for delivery orders. It's primarily classic Italian pies, but there are also some fusions like Bulgogi pizza, which is quite good. And I like that you can do 50/50 and get two kinds on one pizza. Pretty solid choice of canned craft beer, which is a good bonus. You also collect points for future discounts if you order from their website. So if you are into Italian-style pizzas, give it a try.

My first time ordering because of good reviews. Sometimes it's good to try a different place. But I'm very disappointed with the quality of the pizza. They send me a burnt pizza!! For the price, also have a lack toppings and flavor.

Ordered half salmon and half BBQ chicken.Takinng off one star because found 2 piece salmon bones. Otherwise, really great authentic Italian pizza.

Please refer to the most updated food safety. The pizza has to stay on the display not display warmer for 2 hours. We have a small stove oven beside our display. We toast all of the slice upon serving them unless the pizza just came out of the oven. The staff or the manager is fully trained to not keep the pizzas on display more than 2 hours, even if the forgot, I have place an timer set at 2 hours. Thanks for being such a health conscious and so do we.

Best pizza place in Coquitlam (and perhaps even in the tricities?)! So happy this opened up out here. The crust is non-greasy - dry on the bottom and soft (not too chewy) and the topping selection is fantastic. They have an especially impressive range of vegetarian pizzas! Service is speedy and you can’t beat the price for pizza of this quality.

I’ve had pizza in Italy, and La Routa is as close as it gets to an authentic Italian pizza. I love the taste of your pizzas, just as much as your service. From when I order to when I pick up my pizza, the process is always really organized and the staff are so friendly! I love that you focus on great communication because it shows that they really care about my order and me. Every time I go, the quality is consistently high, and the service is exceptionally good. So happy to have a great pizza place in town that reminds me of my travels to Italy!

Absolutely not impressed, arrived at 5:40PM, ordered some slices on the counter, was told by the employee they'd been sitting out on the counter at room temperature for around 40 minutes (so since 5PM), when I left at 7:10PM, the same pizza was still there at room temperature for over two hours, which is against Canadian food safety regulations. Brought it up to the manager was told this is how they'd been doing things, which definitely needs to change. Food safety standards NEED to be followed.Edited to include response to owner's comment:That is not what I observed, when I got there the pizza was already cold so clearly they'd been sitting out for some time already and I was told by staff there everything always sells within an hour which is again, not true. I witnessed the pizza sitting out for over an hour and a half (plus the 40 minutes stated by staff). So if anything by saying you always sell it within an hour the staff was trying to give out misinformation to make you guys appear better, not worse. I've confirmed with the manager (and have a recorded video) that this is how you've been doing things to just let pizza sit out till they sell out (which could take who knows how long). If the manager there didn't mention you throw out stuff that's been sitting for over two hours when I brought it up to him, I highly doubt you do. Again you, just like the staff there need to take responsibility, change the way you do things to make sure you're following food safety regulations, not making stuff up to try to fool people. Otherwise you should get your business license revoked. If I notice this again at this location I will be documenting, collecting evidence and be reporting it to health authorities, it is UNACCEPTABLE to have an establishment in Coquitlam selling food that could make people sick.Lastly, letting cooked pizza sit out on a counter is never safe practice, people are not robots, even if they were switched after the two hour mark (which they're not) when things get busy, it's easy to forget. One mess up could mean serious sickness. Cooked pizza slices should either be kept in a warmer or in the fridge and reheated to the appropriate temperature when served. The fact you're even trying to defend this practice shows how much you care about food safety in general, which is not much at all.

Very loyal customer, until yesterday and the time before that. I love neopolitan style pizza. The last two times, same experience, total disappointment. It is as if they were blind-folded and/or simply don't care anymore. Also, it was dead, I was the ONLY customer there between 3:30pm-4pm.The outer crust was burnt black. If a little burnt, no problem, all good. But in this case very burnt, a very big issue. The middle part of the pizza was under cooked and very soggy. So soggy that all the toppings just slid off. As you know, neopolitan pizza should be easily eaten by a nice fold and then needing only one hand to do the rest. It gets better. The pizza was not even properly cut/sliced. I had to physically make slices by tearing them into crooked semi triangle pieces. What is this?? I can't even believe I am writing this.Zero excuses. Never again. :(

it happen like this again tod,and most over coke on topping,i stared eat at this restaurant five years ago,so now its not like real La Routa pizza what i got!
