Looked up where to go for some eggs Benedict and this little place had some great reviews. Especially with the Bulgogi Beef Eggs Benny. And it did not dissapoint at all! Got it with the croissant instead of English muffin because, why not? It was a nice change to the eggs benny experience and I did it. Tons of flavor, no shortage of beef, definitely don't feel like you want more beef. But you do wish you got more hollandaise sauce. Buuuuuut, it might have overpowered the Bulgogi flavor. So I can understand their thought process. On top of the eggs Benny, the potato hash cubes were cooked to perfection. For me anyways. I like them on the crispy side and they were perfect that way. Will certainly be going back to try other dishes.
We liked what we had a Kook’s Cooks the last time that we were here, so when we came this morning for breakfast, we ordered exactly the same things again ? Too bad the fried chicken with our Waffles and Chicken dish didn’t turn out well as the first time, but everything else was good. I especially like the flavours of the Bulgogi beef with a hint of sweetness in the dumplings and the Benedict ❤️
Went for breakfast on family day. Restaurant was very busy they told us to be about a 20 to 30 minute wait ended up only being 15 minutes before our buzzer went off. Small cozy location very friendly staff and excellent food would return. Only down side is limited parking
The bulgogi burrito and croissant bennies were good; the beef was very sweet and different than other bulgogi I've tried. The special dumplings were not that special as it was just reheated premade dumplings that were not heated up properly. Two of them that I ate were still cold in the center.Service was mediocre as I had to ask several times for coffee and it came after food arrived. We asked for water which they forgot and never gave the whole meal.Be prepared for a long wait on the weekend as the restaurant is relatively small and popular for brunch.
New spot we wanted to try for brunch on Sunday. It's a small space but tidy and clean with dividers separating tables.Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Place was busy.We had the kimchi bennie. Pancakes, French Toast, Chicken and Waffles and Bulgogi Wrap. Food was good.French toast could have used more cinnamon, chicken a bit more seasoning but than again, we're trying to cut back on salt. Overall, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Definitely a place we'll go back too. And we drove all the way from East Vancouver.Oh place is only open till 4pm. No dinner. Bummer because we wanted to try out their suicide pasta and pizza. That'll be another review when we hit the place for lunch.
Tasty af! And good portions too! Try the bulgogi ????
My favourite brunch place! Always the highest quality service, the sweetest and most flavourful brunch dishes, well priced and quick service. I come here at least once a month, and I introduce this restaurant to as many people as possible ♥️ The Bulgogi Benedict is their most popular dish for a reason.
Nice little breakfast place. Standard breakfast fare and some Korean fusion dishes as well. Service was great and the food was good. Will definitely be back.
Just discovered Kook’s Cooks today. My wife and I both had bennies. The flavours were amazing. The wait staff were very personable. Good place for a relaxed lunch. And they were good with my wife and I taking an extra 20 minutes to play our daily cribbage game. We will be back for sure.
Such a lovely welcome when I entered the restaurant. The server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She did a great job presenting the menu. The Eggs Benedict was very flavourful. Perfect for anyone who loves Beef Teriyaki. The coffee was fresh and hot. Great place to go if you need to catch up on work alone. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
