Fantastic food and the price point is very economical especially with the quality. Fresh seafood and the presentation is beautiful.
Service : very slow, 4 people in store us includingPortions : quite small compared to other places near by. Suggest to go sushi town or sushi california.Having lived in Calgary I was expecting better quality as by the sea.Too expensive for what was served.
Nice little restaurant, hidden gem in my opinion! We wanted to get the omakase menu but we didn’t plan ahead so that’s our fault. We definitely got out fill though, started off with salmon carpaccio which came in a smoke filled case which was pretty cool! Next was the unagi tempura which was TO DIE FOR wow unreal and then we had the kaiko roll, negitoro roll, saba salmon and tuna nigiri, 4 flavour tuna sashimi don, salmon aburi oshi, and finished off with a spicy tuna roll which was waaayyy too much food for two people but we only had three pieces left so I think we did a pretty good job. 10/10 would recommend
Fabulous, Diligent and Delicious! This Restaurant came to our rescue on Christmas for our supper. Big day, tons of fun and running on empty we ordered this beautiful party platter for the first time and we were blown away at the attention to detail, quality flavour and ingredients used and even for a big order, no short cut was taken. We are so grateful that we happened upon this gem of a restaurant - so grateful they were open and took time away from their family to feed ours (many thanks). This is our new Go-To Spot
Very peaceful, ambient atmosphere. Food is delicious with good plating. Even though they don’t have enough staff on the night I went there, the chef apologized in advance and asked if we were ok with it.
Very nice and cozy place. Good for lunch and dinner. Fresh food good price.
Our dinner at Kaiko was one of the most thoughtful and satisfying food experience I've ever had. We came here with very little expectation, and was blown away with the presentation, quality, and value of the meal we received. The Dinner for Two had so much food that I was practically full half way. But we kept stuffing ourselves because each course was so elegantly presented and enticing to the senses. After the first visit, Kaiko is now one of my top 5 sushi restaurant in Vancouver, along the likes of Miku, Toyo, and Kishimoto. I can't wait to come back for more.
Delicious and fresh sushi with a bonus point for presentation! Very friendly staff and you can tell that the chef takes pride in his work.
This is a great Japanese restaurant that has become our go to place. The staff are very polite and pleasant. The portions are generous and of excellent quality at a fair price. The fish is always fresh and they don't use trimmings for the smaller rolls. If you eat there, their presentation is also excellent. I just wished they didn't use styrofoam for take out. This is the only reason for 4 stars.
My friend lives in the area but never tried this place and happy we did. Not a huge place for indoor dining. We came at the start and 2 other tables did as well on a Sunday. The service was good along with the food. The tea cup was never empty. We had prawn tempura, veggie combo and deluxe sushi. The two of us were so full as we chatted and ate.
