I’ve been around the coffee business for many years. I was in the neighbourhood and googled “coffee shop”. Vanilla popped up. I’m skeptical of small shops as most of them are not great. To my surprise and delight Vanilla is a hidden gem. They do their own baked goods and they use Oughtred (One of the best) coffee and absolutely top notch equipment. The cafe is sparkling clean and the staff is warm and friendly. Go to Vanilla!
Great little coffee place, reminded me so much of being in Europe. Coffee was the best I had either in Vancouver or visiting Alaska on a cruise. About a 20 min walk from where we were staying at the Ramada. Nice ambience, clean, friendly and contemporary. Croissants nice too. Price was low for Vancouver and the final plus was no hassle to add a tip at the end with a card payment. Would visit again.
All of their coffees are so good and I've been slowly sampling all of their food as well. Had the roast beef today with a lavender vanilla latte and it was so good!
What can I say - this place was absolutely fantastic. I was there to pickup a mothers day cake, which looked incredible, and somehow tasted even better.... but to me, that is beside the point haha.I care about coffee and in the tri cities, I have had a very hard time finding a proper espresso based drink - and I have been all over, Creekside Roasters, KOFFEE, JJ Bean, Awesome Place, etc etc and finally found a place that can pull a shot.They time and weigh their shots, they do them right. This is the place to come for a nice espresso, flat white, or latte.
This place was so good to spend my weekend time! Staffs were kind, drinks and breads look so delicious! Definitely I will visit again?
Latte is really yuuummy, omg, very thick milk foam I love it. Highly recommend their dessert, especially gorgeous ball shaped cheese cake. It is coated with a thin layer of syrup, not too sweet with a hint of lime sour, fresh, smooth, best cheese cake 5 stars!
Great café with good espresso, and fantastic choice of pastries. There is plenty seating and parking along the road. The baristas are super nice too.My only complaint at the time of visit would be - the wifi was lagging somewhat. I hope it was an intermittent issue and/or the owners fix it asap. Definitely recommend this spot.
coffee plus vanilla , what is there to say? not much! this was your run of the mill average “aesthetic?” coffe establishment with below average pastries. My friend and i decided to visit but we’re dissatisfied as the vibes looked better online . Coffee plus vanilla claim to serve freshly made pastries and sweets but i could have sworn i saw that belgian waffle in the freezer section at my local grocery store. Whilst i was there i had ordered a churro , it was doughy and made my throat feel scorched. The staff seem decent and it was clean inside. Overall your better off visiting a reliable starbucks , or micky d’s. If you are there for the instagram pics it will do , but if you are there for a fun time and delectable food this mediocre establishment might not be for you. After writing this review i am starting to think my 3 out of 5 stars is a bit generous but i will leave it as it smelled nice in there.
I was pleasantly surprised by the price of everything and the quality relative to it. Definitely worth checking it out and trying a few things here. The only negative thing here is the parking-- it's cramped and small. Great for walking by though!
Came here a few times and never found service particularly friendly - asked for a bag for the baked goods I bought and they didn’t say anything while giving me the bag. No one told me about the stamp cards. Gluten free chocolate cake was a bit gritty and too mushy for my liking. Prices are reasonable and the interior is quite cozy
