Simple authentic Korean grill and hotpot. Second time I came, I’m felt the food preparation and flavouring was better maybe because it wasn’t too busy and the chef had more time to put attention to the details.
First time trying this place. We ordered a lot of speciality type dishes. The pigs feet is very flavorful but a bit difficult to eat. The Ming bean pancake was good but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price. The Bench seating is an cool experience but it doesn’t make you want to sit very long.
It's busy but so worth it. Last time I was there it took almost 30 minutes, so my wife and I left our number and went down the street to the Korean supermarket to get some things. They called us while we were at the checkout and kept the table us the table for 10 min. Make sure you get something that goes well with makgeolli. Both of the innards orders are pretty good.
Services is good, food is also good but not varieties. Overall is worth to come back
Super authentic Korean sausage soup. Soondae is always so fresh and never gamey which is a common issue with korean sausages.
The store really feels like a small local shop in Korea with very authentic food. Expect long wait during dinner time
This place is that only place that offers authentic blood sausages! It was definitely unique. We never had anything like this before. We ate this dish plus intestines and it was really interesting but very flavorful. We probably would just try this once in a lifetime.
한줄평:기분 좋은 음식, 하지만 기분 나쁜 서비스. 내가 왜 이돈 주고 저 소릴 듣고 있지 하는 기분.Short version of my review:Food is good, horrible service. I don’t know why I paid to sit there to listen to the waitress talking condescendingly toward us (more about this in my full review)I would rate this as 0 out of 5, but will give 2 since their food is good (and because the other waitress was being professional but she wasn’t our main server)The reason for low rating with respect to the service:One of the waitresses was highly unprofessional in the way she treated us. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about the way she treated us in the beginning. She didn’t even give us the menu when we first sat, but came to take our orders. AND when we told her we don’t have the menu, she gave us a single menu (we were table of more than single person), and seemed quite annoyed.I figured she was just having a bad/busy day, or could be just the way she present herself toward others. But she lost benefit of doubt when we just asked one simple question about the menu. She didn’t even explain what the various spicy levels they got when she came to take our order. She simply said “spicy level 3 is about medium spicy level similar to shin ramen.” So we naturally asked if we could get something spicier. But she seemed to be annoyed that we did not specify exactly WHICH spicy level we wanted. So without knowing how many spicy levels there are, we asked“What are the spicy level?”To which she replied quite condescendingly toward us as if we were “supposed” to know that they got “1 ~ 5 spicy level” so according to her words “OBVIOUSLY level 3 is in the middle.”Umm, okay, the way I understood was that perhaps spicy level 3 is “medium” spicy as in “most people can tolerate this” spicy level, but there could be say up to level 10. I have no clue as to why she thought it was obvious that there MUST BE in total of 5 different levels without explicitly saying so.I guess she did not know that at least for some clothes (such as men’s overcoats), it could have sizes XS, S, “Medium”, L, XL, XXL, XXXL? Here the maximum level is 7 not 5.So, it is NOT at all OBVIOUS for SOME people such as myself to confidently INFER that there MUST BE “1~5 spicy levels” just from a sentence of “spicy level 3 is medium spicy level similar to shin ramen.” Also the restaurant could have spicy level 0. There is absolutely no reason for her to think it was obvious even for their minimum spicy level.Besides, I did not go there to just sit there and listen to her explaining to me that OBVIOUSLY there are 5 different levels. How hard is it to just say, oh there are five levels. After all, she was the waitress who should expect such a question.I did not come to this place expecting high end service. But also I definitely did not expect to be met with such condescending attitude when I asked one simple question about the dishes which we paid in total of close to 60 bucks including tip at the end of all this.I probably won’t go back to this restaurant due to this. Their food was good, but not good enough for me to go back there and having to deal with this type of interaction. Anyways, please take my rating with a grain of salt because this could be their one off situation.Peace everyone !
Very authentic Korean restaurant. But if you don't like innerds, maybe this is not the place for you. Warm, flavourful, hearty soup with a bowl of rice, perfect for cold winter days.
Food was delicious, portion was good, service needs improvement. We noticed that the servers had their break all at the same time, which can make the customers feel uncomfortable when asking for something. One of them was even still chewing when responding to our call.
