Great food ,great staff..I'm very happy to have an Edos in my our beautiful Chilliwack. Its about time.:)
I eat at Edo Japan several times a year. They have a great selection of products for you to choose between. The food is made fresh as you wait. The sushi is my granddaughters favorite.
Went here several times when it first opened. Then one time thought something in my prawns tasted moldy or funky so didn't eat them. Next time I went had the same thing, prawns clearly tasted moldy. Upon closer inspection I saw a dried green blob in the corner or the takeout box. Yah... Looks like wasabi was there and then wiped off poorly, left to get dried n moldy and then food reserved in it. Yah... Never again, I'm sorry but no matter how great or poor your food is if this kind of basic cleanliness is not a priority I can only imagine the things I can't see.
Had high hopes for Edo Japan as first time customers. It was close to home and our regular sushi place was closed. Sadly, it didn't meet expectations, seemed very 'commercial tasting' if that makes sense. It wasn't terrible but lacked any flavour and didn't feel as though it was made by a sushi chef. There are definitely better sushi places in Chilliwack to eat at.
This is going to sound harsh, but this was honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The rice was mushy and gummy and the ingredients inside the rolls were stale and flavourless. The rolls themselves were 80% rice. I would much rather buy a few rolls from save-on or superstore if I’m in a pinch and have a hankering for sushi.
Literally the worst sushi I have ever had. Everything was soggy flavour was horrible and I'm waiting to see when im the food poisoning is going to set in. My great pyrenees won't even touch it and usually will eat through the container just to have a taste lmao if you're wanting better sushi thr grocery store pre-made sushi is a million times better. Had dynamite, beef, salmon rolls tempura shrimp and spring rolls all disgustingWould give them 0 stats if I could they dontneeven deserve a 1
This is not Japanese food, this is shopping mall chain restaurant food. So yes you get what you pay for. Chilliwack has very limited options but Yale sushi is by far the best sushi.
"Take out"...Yam tempura awful....cold.. couldn't eat. Orange chicken..not very much chicken..small chopped up chicken..limited glaze sauce. Minimal dipping sauce given. First time ordering from them..won't go back.
Bento boxes look like a great deal. Now for the taste test!
Most tasteless food ever. Stood at the counter for 5 minutes with someone cooking and nothing was said until we went to leave. Even the ginger had no flavor. Terrible.
