Nice bright dining room, quick service and most importantly, delicious food that is made with love.Menu is small but everything is very well-done.Highly recommend their vermicelli bowl that you can choose 2 kinds of meat ( their meat patties are to die for), Special Pho and Banh Mi.Definitely a gem in this neighbourhood!
Place was a bit small but offers good food. Was just surprised to discover that they fry (or bake, maybe?) their lemongrass chicken and pork instead of grill
Really enjoyed the pho, such a flavourful broth. The meat platter was also super delicious. My husband didn't like the lemongrass chicken, said it was quite bland. Quite big portions for the price, great value overall. Will order again.
This restaurant is close to home so I have been coming here for both takeout and dine in more recently. This place serves sugarcane shrimp which is something I’ve been looking for in the Vancouver area and could not find for a long time. My favourite is the white lotus platter. Otherwise all the other dishes were pretty good too. The lemon grass chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Little hidden gem in the same plaza as the Buy Low Foods.Restaurant seating limited so come during off hours or there may be a wait. Simple menu with the usuals, which is a nice change vs the extensive menu found at some other pho restaurants. Clean, brightly lit interior.Food:Ordered the spring rolls. These were with the “Chinese wrap paper” and not the thicker variety. It was still crunchy and tasty.Bun Bo Hue - comes in mild, medium or hot. My company opted for hot and commented it not being as spicy as other BBH’s.House special - nice blend of different meats (tripe, tendon, rare steak, flank, beef balls). Soup was flavorful without tasting msg’d. The noodles had a very slight sweetness to it which was different and appreciated.Service: like your standard pho place, flag for service nothing special and is expected.Overall, glad it’s in the neighborhood, nice place to go for pho vs some of the other places that crowd the Brentwood area.
Grabbed a Vietnamese Iced Coffee (cà phê đá) to-go during lunchtime from this casual, laidback and cozy minimalist vietnamese joint.I totally dig this place, the natural wooden aesthetics and minimalistic design with a clean, fresh and vibrant menu with great perks such as providing paper straw. Great ethics, this joint is right up my street.Unfortunately the Iced Coffee wasn't great.. weak, very rushed and not authentic tasting nor any raw and bitter rich coffee vibe, unfortunately probably the worst I have had. In hindsight, a drink that traditionally takes time and TLC should be done different for takeout, but I'm more than happy to wait.I'm stoked to come back and try their super yummy looking veggie options as they look dope, I'm hoping that this will be a lot different from my beverage experience. All in all, I'm mixed as I think the grub is going to be a much better experience.Support local businesses!
Excellent pho. Ordered take out, and the pho tasted great. Ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and the take out container was specifically designed to keep the noodles away from the broth. The serving size is smaller, but sufficient. Would come back to try their other dishes.
Normally I get the banh mi, but decided to grab veggie and seafood pho take out and was very disappointed. I tried many pho places and this place was far the worst pho I’ve ever had. The seafood pho contained mostly fish balls (other pho restaurants have a variety of squid, shrimp, fishcake, fresh veggies) and the noodle and soup tasted like bleach I had to throw it out after two bites. My partner had the veggie pho and it mostly had mocked meat and fried tofu shells in it. I was a regular for the banh mis but with my experience with the pho, I will not come back.
Recently expanded in size, the broth has a phenomenal taste. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice as well. Prices are reasonable. My local go to for Pho.
This place used to be decent, but since their recent expansion, the prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone down which is disappointing to see. The vermicelli bowl had 7 small bits of pork thrown and scattered on a handful of noodles with a small patch of lettuce on the bottom; looked like a 10 year old made it. If I had opened the takeout box to look at it before getting home, I would have taken it back. They also don't use real vermicelli noodles either which is odd. Wouldn't recommend going here considering the other options nearby in Brentwood.
