Well in a neighbourhood full of coffee shops Waves at Hastings & Carleton makes the effort to stand out. Always clean, bright and airy. It has its own little meeting room for customers to use . A welcoming environment with a cosmopolitan clientele. Ash the manager is friendly and kind. Food is your standard coffee shop fare. Lots of options for warm or cold drinks. A nice place to visit and to stay awhile.
Great coffee in good quantity, sit in and enjoy it, the pastries and cookies are pricier , so worth to avoid
Update: This Waves does help the community it is in. But the service from the staff is varied. It is a Canadian Company.Coffee usually tastes like it came from the bottom of the pot but staff are okay.
excellent service from the girls who serve everything very rich
Great cafe, nice Roibos options. There seems to be space between tables which I was happy about!
The coffee is good, still better than Starbucks... and their food is tasty. There are power outlets and a fireplace.
The staff are so friendly and they make better beverages than the manager. Two of the older staff makes the best drinks.
Waves is such a middling coffee shop with Midland coffee and middling tables and middling snacks.
Ordered Belgian mocha, very good. But the service was... not so well. Came in the morning and the batista was busy inputting the online orders, didn't greet me when I came in the empty store. Didn't have eye contact whenever we talk. Wasn't rude but perhaps can be more delight for the morning costumers and himself?
Service is really fast and friendly. Drinks are amazing especially the Belgian hot chocolate.
