Had an amazing time with my husband at the Dolar Shop today! We went for the happy hour deal, after 9pm it’s 20% off!Today’s service was phenomenal, we had Nikki as our server and I’ve never had such amazing customer service ever. 10/10 and would rate more if possible! Food was super delicious, top quality meats/ingredients! Their silver soup is my favourite broth ever for hotpot, super worth trying if you haven’t!If you ever get Nikki as your server, you’re in for a treat! Much thanks to her our experience just blew our minds!!! Oh and delicious ice cream at the end of the meal too! Perfect cherry on top to wrap up the night~If you see this Nikki, thank you again for such an amazing night! Hope to see you again soon some day :)
Newly open, very clean, nice and moderate environment inside and outside, the food material is fresh, many choice, meanwhile there is multiple sauces to choose for customers. Individual small hotpot is suitable for everyone, you can choose the soup you like, normal, spicy, tomato soup, marsheoom soup etc, the place is quiet suitable for friends, family and company gathering .
Always delicious and service is generally good. But for some reason the menu shrunk and many things are missing. With many new competitors opening hot pot restaurants, such as fatty lamb with their cheaper price and just as good if not better quality, why would anyone want to eat here? Dolar was cool when they opened, but nowadays they failed to keep up with the current market.
I'm honestly not a huge fan of hot pot but this place was great! Service was great! Staff was friendly! I loved the personalised hot pots and unlimited DIY sauces. After all of the meat, veggie and soup, they finish you off with a soft serve ice cream. We spent around 50/ person.
Rainy weekend brought us to The Dolar Shop in Burnaby. We each ordered the lunch menu. I love you get your personal hot pot . You choose you soup base and protein, starch (noodle or rice) and then how spicy you want. This includes soft serve ice cream in black cone as dessert.The restaurant is new and draws attention while walking around the Station Square area. The service was outstanding. The soup was flavourful.I would love to come back for dinner.
This is the best hot pot place I have ever been to!!!! We came here for lunch special. The hot pot definitely made my day!!!! I love the individual hot pot so we can come with friends who prefer vege soup or other soups. And meats were so fresh. Meat melt in my mouth!!! I appreciate the server who made the hot pot sauce for us. The sauce was so delicious... !!!! And I like how spicy my soup was !! Other hot pot place served spicy soup more oily than spicy, but this time I chose the level of spiciness and it was not too oily. And I love the white beef bone soup too. It was super rich flavor. And the portion of vegetables was perfect for each person. Rice and noodle were unlimited. So we ordered 2 times! All staffs were so kind and accommodating. Staff asked us if we want icecreams. I did now know icecreams are free!!!!! What a great offer!! I am in love with this place. I will come back again soon!!!!!!
It’s a great dinner gathering venue with friends! Very busy at weekend night so you should make a reservation.The offer a wide selection in the menu but things are on the pricey side. The quality of the different types of meat and broth is good. You can easily spend CAD90 each person for a dinner.Service is attentive and the place looks clean and new.
Taste great. Fresh meat, vege, recommend silver soup base which is really delicious. 3 kinds of dipping sauce are all good. Really like their store made noodle, tender, absorbs the sauce perfectly. Service is great too! I agree people are saying a little pricey, but worth to try.
One of my best Hot Pot experiences ever! I'll admit I haven't had many over the course of my worldly travels but these flavors were undeniably rich and delectable!Their house soy sauce and the house made ice cream were phenomenal ?Highly recommend a dinning experience here, you won't regret it!
It was an overall really good experience. Food was excellent and fresh. I also love their soup base! I would say is one of the more flavourful, meat broth. The only complain is that they gave me dessert first. So I had to eat it while eating hot pot.
