This mall is still not ready; very few stores are available - A LOT less than the number of stores at Metrotown; it was a very disappointing visit.It has the old section which has many of the stores closed.Then, it has the new section but only the cafeteria is ready for a visit; then there are a few stores open.The new section of this place looks great; though it might not have the best use of the limited space, since Burnaby is getting more crowded. Maybe because of that, this mall really won't have as many stores as it could. I'm not sure what the future might hold for this place, but it's been progressing really slowly...Then the disappointing parking -it has new paid parking areas, and then the old parking section has ticket machines installed as well, but not in service at the moment. So you can park for free in the old open space for now.Two stars for now.
Great mall and food court.One complaint, why in the world is this great little playground still closed?? It’s frustrating and annoying to see this one closed when right down the hall is the other pointless playground (TabLab) with nothing for kids to do or play with and it’s wide open. Makes zero sense. Please consider opening the actual playground so the many families in the local community can bring their kids somewhere to play within the mall!
There is only one Amazing Brentwood.This is my Hometown and grew up in this mall, so I have seen how it has developed and modernized over the years.It is such a nice mall with many new restaurants opening, and hopefully new retail stores to shop in will follow soon after. I love this place and I never want to leave for anything else.
I have been to the new food court and the old London Drugstore.The food court is really awesome. Much better than the old food court.The ambiance is great and inviting. Lots of choices. Mostly, Asian foods, pizza and Middle Eastern food.There is a coffee place also.Prices are reasonable. It is quite clean and spacious.
So much better than what it used to be, but I've been waiting like 10 years now for the renewed mall only for it to be still very incomplete. 10 years later, im still waiting for many shops to be "coming soon".... I guess I'll just keep waitingNGL, as pretty as Brentwood is with the new podium and tower style of design for more public space to be close to apartmenets, the mall itself cannot beat out Metro UNLESS they completely redo the old mall. Theres a lot of missed opportunity here to compensate for a more contemporary design.
The food court is pity big but it should has more choices. We can't find any coffee and desert shop there. No all customers come for a meals. Maybe they need more time to make it good for all customers, the seats are good.
The Amazing Brentwood is not yet too amazing yet , they took down the old mall years ago and rebuilt a new one with high rise condos also on the same site , although the structures are beautifully designed and quite pleasant to look at , but the actual shopping mall itself isn't too pleasant at all , although the mall was reopened for some time now , but there are still so many units not renting out yet , there isn't much to see in there if you have high hope to find something you would want to buy , very few people would want to go there to do their shopping , except London Drugs and the food court , London Drugs always have their loyal customers , food court is completely brand new , lots of parking indoor and three hours free parking outdoor , this shopping mall is going to take some time to attract more people unless they have more interesting stores to be open soon.
Lack of selection, but this mall just opened. Love the architectural design! Fountain that’s programmed with music, very lively outdoor atmosphere. As an unvaccinated patron, I have yet to experience their VIP area, but it looks amazing! 4 stars for now, but I’m looking forward to what this mall holds in the future! (Posted Dec 26/21)
More shops are opening soon and the food court is ready! This place is brand new and definitely will become an icon in the area.
