This is a terrible restaurant! I ordered Pas See Ew. They gave me an old one! The oil has dried on the surface and the noodles are stuck together. It looks not fresh at all and should have been put away for a while. They said it was because they waited me for a long time, but I only left 3 minutes. Not fresh! The oil has dried. They serve old meals. Never come!
I always knew Thai Express was kinda "you get what you pay for" but I think that you shouldn't be getting mutiple spoonfuls of oil pooled at the bottom of the box. Lacked flavour and also had very little chicken. Pretty disgusting and disappointing.
Ordered the vege fried rice today and it came out very watery. I asked them are you sure it's fried rice??? The young casher laughed and told the cook to redo -- still wet. Horrible food. Tasteless. no basil or thai spice inside. Would rather starve. and it's $13 ! the casher is rude also and forgot to tell the cook to add spice/hot. He gave me hot sauce instead. A truly ridiculous fried rice first time I had like that.
Poor customer service. I am a gluten allergic person so i was looking for a gluten free meal. It was my first time at Thai express and I specifically asked the server that is my meal gluten free and she said yes. The next day i went again to order the same meal and then i got to know from a different server that it was not a gluten free meal. I guess the server had problem in understanding english. This is a serious matter and you guys should be careful in future.
I wanted to order today's item from the discovery menu but the lady at the till entered in General Thai Ghost instead. When I corrected her that I wanted the discovery menu, she said I could only order from the main menu. I inquired how come because the discovery menu has been rotating amongst other promotions on the LCD screens. She neglected my question and only gestured to the main menu. I pointed out again the discovery menu when it appeared on the LCD screens. The till lady remained like a stone and the chef nearest her came forward and said I could only order from the main menu. Once again, I asked why? Both of them became like stones and then ignored me to take the order of the person behind me. Not only is this very rude, but it is unprofessional. If a menu item is sold out, just say so. I would have understood and moved on. The fact that the staff could not even address my question looks like they don't know how to do their job or they have poor English communication skills. Either way, this reflects poorly on the management of Thai Express. I picked up my dinner at Chipotle instead. In the near future, such rude, incompetent and unprofessional service makes me think twice before coming back to this location again.
Worst experience of Thai food. Food too much oily Not friendly staff.I even ordered fried Rice Thai style and they serve me Basil fried Rice!I tried to use diningdeals coupon and after I redeemed it the girl said they are not accept it!Not recommend it at all
The food was okay. Very disappointed that they are still using plastic packaging. I thought there was a ban but I guess just in Vancouver? Either way, plastic is killing our planet and is not okay. Will not order again for this reason. Maybe look into a Reusables option or at the least compostable packaging.
Be careful with what you are about to order, I ordered a beef dish and this is what I got. Are you able to tell it is beef? It is beef slices wrapped with flour and deep fired. It is 95% flour. When I told them that this is different from the photo menu. She said photos in the menu are just photos, I was speechless. I had to eat it as I paid $13.52 for it.They also force to pay tips. Basically in order to pay with your credit card, you have to press that greasy machine three times before you can actually pay. The first question is how much tips you want to pay ?Think about how many times the same button you have to press have been pressed every day?
2 stars today- I was back to Thai Express today for my lunch. I ordered cauli fried rice and a minute made juice combo which came in with the usual 1 pc. of fried vegetable roll. For 22 CAD for a fried rice solo, I did not expect I was only going to get this quality for a fried rice. It was falvorful but it lacks the ingridients personally, and a lot can be done to make it special. Now I am thinking twice of going back. I left with a heavy heart! Price wasnt fair for the quality5 star- last time- When youre at Thai Express, order Pad Thai noodles and you will never go wrong. Fast and yummy! Noodle texture is good. Its on the sweet side though.
This place used to be good, but not anymore. I ordered the basil fried rice and it tasted like soup with all the oil in it. Tilting the plate creates a puddle of grease at the bottom. God knows how much oil I've eaten. Felt disgusted after eating. Picture included.
