When I first came to this restaurant, I was attracted to their design and decoration. I never seen a Japanese style design other than on IG. I like it. The whole ambient and lighting is soft and calm. Sitting space is good tooFood wise ; not my cup of tea. I found the tempura batter to be quite heavy. Opposite of how I imagine and what I had from other restaurants before. I imagine tempura to be light and crunchy. However, the mushroom is a wild surprise. It's very juicy. I mean you can't over cook them right? The shrimps, chicken and the other veggies are alright. They still kept their flavours. The chicken is almost over cook. The sauce that the restaurant provided don't have much flavour. But it gets real thirsty afterwardSpeaking of which. The miso soup is quite salty.Rice portion is consider small. But it's a good match with the heavy batter. You will get full for sure. The tomato is quite refreshing. But importantly, looks good. The drinks are okay. But the bottles have a nice gimmickI like the service. Overall they done a good job. Felt very welcoming. But some waitresses and waiters done a better a job than the others. I feel the passion from them. Really feel they want to help, instead just to be here to workPrice wise, i don't think it is justify for the food quality. Kinda over price. But overall, should definitely come here for the gimmicks, and the environment. Would I come back again? Probably not
Food is really tasty but a little too salty IMO. Portions are really big, we couldn’t finish our food. Although I do think they could’ve addd a little more sashimi in the rice. Nonetheless It’s worth the price! Cheesecake was creamy ( a little too much personally) and pretty tasty. Friendly, patient and helpful service. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you love some tasty fried food!
Everything is always amazing. From the waitlist you run the welcome gauntlet and are seated for the most singularly tasty tempura experience. The staff offer a very attentive level of service always with a smile (even though masks are worn you can feel the smiles). Thank you and we will be back
Came here a few times for dinner service and my experiences has been consistently good. Their tendons are tasty, and you don’t feel heavy after the meal. The tempuras are lightly fried and not greasy at all, and the sauce is savoury but delicate at the same time. Rice is an important component to a tendon and I think they nailed the perfect doneness that makes you chow down the whole bowl. Today, however, we opted to try their limited edition set with udon instead of rice. The tempuras were good, as expected, but I wished it was served with more broth.Overall I do quite like this place for a casual, quick meal. Their digital waitlist system is pretty seamless, and the greeter person acknowledges guests promptly and gives fairly accurate wait time estimates. Also to note the restaurant has nice high ceilings, love the wood/oak details, feels airy and comfortable. Not sure if I would wait for more than 20 minutes to get in though… Nonetheless this is definitely the go-to place if I ever crave a tendon!
There was a 40 minute wait for a table on Saturday even at 2pm! Ordered the Kohaku Tendon and combo'd it with the crown melon milk. The food was great, the tempura was hot and crisp, but portions were a bit small. You wont be full afterwards but you won't be hungry. It would have been nice to get a little bit more rice. The drink has a nice melon aroma and flavour, but it was too sweet. If they could use 50% sugar, it would be perfect. Still worth a try though and I would come back.
This was a great experience and our food was delicious. We wanted to dine in so we had to sign up on a tablet in front of restaurant to enter our phone number. You will receive a text for when the table is ready. It was busy but only took 30 mins to be seated. We ordered the seafood tendon and the original. They were both great. I noticed right away that the ebi was amazing ...so much flavor. The egg was cooked perfectly and the rice was of very good quality. All meals come with Miso soup. The size was perfect and the sauce was sweet. We also had the strawberry cheese cake and matcha ice cream..they were small servings but delicious. Overall great experience and we want to come back again.
Good service and good food at a reasonable price
It wasn't reasonable price forbowl of rice with some tempura. There's nothing different compare regular tempura in normal Japanese restaurants,So disappointing to food skill.Only complement for Interior design.
I really had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back.Let’s start with the good: the decor and ambiance is amazing. The lighting is soft and comforting, the wooden textures are cozy, and the dried grass hanging in the ceiling is very cool. We also fortunately didn’t have to wait for a table around 6:45pm on a Thursday evening. However, the food itself was less than stellar. I ordered the spicy kohaku don, and although it was nicely presented, the quality was just not there. Despite the shrimp being freshly fried, the egg was cold and soggy. The other pieces felt like they had been sitting for a while, likely waiting until the shrimp was done cooking. The chicken was dry and was unevenly battered, as shown in one of the pics below. The tempura was on the oily side, whereas I prefer it light and crisp. The sauce was salty and overpowering. To top it off, the rice was not cooked well and had been sitting for a while, since the top layer had dried out, but the bottom became mushy. You shouldn’t be able to pick up a chunk of rice like this! All in all, a disappointing experience to what could have been a very enjoyable meal. Please work on improving your consistency and quality!
Was a very aesthetic place and a good chill spot to eat with friends. Was quite busy so make sure you make reservations ahead of time as people were waiting outside the whole time we ate (6:45pm).Food had beautiful presentation but I definitely was still hungry after. I’ll definitely be trying the milk tea, if I go again.. but I think I’m good going once.
