This place is awesome. Lots of unusual sushi (ankimo, hotaruika), great quality, and prices are quite reasonable.
The sashimi is quite good and fresh! They ran out of tuna toro, so we got salmon toro instead. The ika karaage was cooked nicely, and the chicken skewers were very juicy. It was our first time here so we may have over ordered haha. The udon was our favourite, along with the Unagi roll. The gyoza took the longest to come out (after we finished everything) and I've definitely had better, but it's not bad!I would say the service is a bit slow as they only had 2 servers for the entire place, and it was packed. Took a while to flag someone down to take our order and to get the bill. A reservation is probably needed if you don't want to wait.
One of my favourite local Japanese izikayas. We always get the monkfish liver and chicawa cheese. The delux sashimi was to die for, everything tasted so fresh.
I use to come here on a weekly basis. Great food for a great price. Proof that a restaurant can survive in Vancouver without jacking up their prices 3x. Service is a little slow but that is mainly because they are so understaffed. I love this place and will definitely keep coming back here.

One of my favorite authentic Japanese restaurants! Atmosphere and the food quality reminds me of Japan ...! Also the price is reasonable. Yet they are usually busy and serving slow. I was at Sunday 7pm, there were couple groups of people waiting for tables.(luckily I had a reservation) I wouldhighly recommend to make a reservation.
This place transported me back to Japan. The nigiris and seafood are the way to go! It's so fresh, delicious, and affordable. The $2.20 Ika and Mayo aburi sushi was DA BOMB!!!The other items on the menu are a little pricey and small portioned, but still delicious nonetheless. We wanted to try a bit of everything from the menu and our bill came up to $100 at the end for 2 people.
Very classy and homey Japanese restaurant that’s staying true to its roots and using high quality fresh ingredients! Price is fair as well.
Food here is amazing. I've never been to Japan but I could feel like I was in Japan. You can tell that this is a true and great Japanese restaurant because their customers are all Japanese?. The thing is their service is like Japanese style too lol. Don't expect high quality service but the food!
