Sushi was good, however they substituted vegetarian gyoza we had ordered to pork gyoza without telling us (Vegetarian was crossed out on the takeout bill we noticed after).I understand substitutions may need to be made but I expect to be let know and asked if it is ok, in this case my partner can't eat pork and I don't like it. If they had checked with us we would have opted to not be charged for the wrong thing.
Sushi Town is our family's favorite sushi restaurant. We love the portion size, taste and their foods. I tried spicy sashimi from several japanese restaurant. Sushi town's spicy sashimi is the best one compared to others. Our family enjoy chiken teriyaki, rolls and sushi. One of the menu I always get is fresh roll. If you are worried about too much rice from the rolls, fresh roll would be the alternative choice you can try. It is cucumber wrapped roll with sashimi inside. I love it.
I meet a friend there regularly for lunch, and it is always tasty and fresh. Small place but recently had some renos done. Staff are always friendly and service is excellent. We decided to keep it as a regular spot after trying some other places in the area.
Favourite little sushi place for years now! My Husband and I used to eat here once or twice a week. It's not super fancy, but the food is consistently delicious, the staff are friendly and the prices.... used to be better. To be fair, costs are on the rise for all sorts of things so it's understandable. I'll still support this local restaurant that I love, just maybe not as often as I used to.
Grew up eating the specialty Alaska roll here.Unfortunately my last order from here was a disappointment.Once a great place no longer worth going to.
It's OK for a budget sushi place. You get what you pay for. Not bad.
We’ve had both dine in and ordered take out. Would say the sushi is decent and they have a pretty good selection for rolls. Not as fresh as expected for being in Vancouver, but still good.Take out isn’t the best but it’s expected with it sitting for a bit during transportation.
If they close at 9, I don't know why they can't take us at 8:30. It's not like we were a big party as it was just two of us. Oh well, next time I'll choose a different place to eat.
Used to come here almost every weekend until their food portion got very small than it used to be and their food quality at this Burnaby branch isn’t as good as it used to be. Like wow $16 for this very little portion? I’m disappointed because back when they just open and back in 2019 they gives much more than this.I’m definitely not coming back to this branch again.
Order off doordash. The ONLY thing we explicitly asked for was "No wasabi. Allergy" as I'm allergic to horseradish in synthetic wasabi. Received the sashimi salad with wasabi mayo absolutely smothered all over the sashimi. Food went into trash. Didn't bother following up as someone who works at a restaurant, these details make me reluctant to ever order again.
